Well, they didn't flee after 28 days with tales of demons...but the owners of an infamous "haunted" location are packing up and getting out of their home that they believe to be haunted. From the looks of it, there are many others who believe them as well.

Black Forest, Colorado is home to a reportedly very haunted house currently owned by Beth and Steve Lee. After many years of being the object of investigations and paranormal notoriety, the Lee's are ready to..."get ghost" so to speak. The property is currently up for sale.

The couple who owns the house started out as renters in 1991, buying the home in '92. Apparently, the activity began after the home was purchased. It has been on the television show "Sightings". There have reportedly been three deaths on the property since 2007.

My opinion is that this has been sensationalized. Whatever might actually be going on with this property, if indeed anything, is getting lost in that sensationalism.

So what do you guys think? Could this be a genuine hotspot of activity...or shall we wait for the movie to come out?

I have to without doing much research wonder if the haunting is another cause. One that maybe a treatment may help. We already have a book written about it.

Steve Lee “I truly think the U.S. government has a hand in this,” he told a television reporter. “I don’t think any one individual could get away with this for this period of time without getting caught. The government does testing out here that has military implications.” Steve was convinced that the government was using his family as human guinea pigs to test laser holograms and biological weapons for psychic warfare. He saw figures in military fatigues carrying assault rifles on his property and spent hours trying to photograph them. In fact, one of his neighbors obtained a restraining order to keep him from taking any more pictures across property lines. Steve accused government agents of cutting off the electricity to his home whenever it was vacant, so they could enter it without being detected. He also accused them of spraying chemicals in his van and truck that left him deathly ill. He believed the secret agents even followed him when he visited his mother-in-law’s ranch in Gunnison, Colorado, or his father’s home in Louisiana.

Hoax or ...... mental issue ..... or?

Thanks for that information, UNR! That does put another spin on it for sure. My issue was mainly with the evidence they were showing on the video that was included in the article. More orbs and such..I didn't really see anything that caught my interest in that way. And when self-proclaimed "experts" say that these spherical images that show up in the photographs are like "nothing they have ever seen"...yeah, I start to seriously wonder how "expert" they can truly be.

As far as the government being in on it...good luck uncovering that one if it's true! I do wonder about chemicals or a possible toxin issue. Another case of a supposed true haunting comes to mind that I think may have been a toxicity issue, and that was the Black Hope Horror story. Brand new homes in a Houston Texas suburb began experiencing strange activity including ant infestations and unexplained illnesses...including the death of the couple who wrote the book's daughter. It turned out the homes were built on an old slave cemetery. I have to wonder if toxins in the ground from the bodies that were there caused some of that to happen.

Here is yet another of his theories.
Mr. Lee believes he is the victim of an elaborate scheme by some agency
in a photograph taken of a tree on Steve Lee's property, on a branch is what appears to be some antenna-like device (wonder if he ever tried knocking it down?) The US Government to harasses him and his family using electromagnetic technologies.

So far all the investigators are authors, hmmmmm what better way to sell a book.

Exactly! And what was it about actually BUYING the property that caused all of this to happen? The theory about it being government induced is by no means impossible..but I am wondering how probable it is. And any antennae on my property is getting knocked down for sure! (now if it comes back the next day...we'll talk government conspiracy then!)

All in all, an interesting case, and one that (when I'm not swamped) I will be looking more into. What bothers me the most is whatever is going on with this property, the number of people who are claiming to know the answers to what is going on is disturbing..because it simply perpetuates theories that haven't been proved as fact. A "rainbow vortex"?? Only one of three that are known to exist?? I don't call that an investigation, I call it a bunch of cool sounding theories that aren't giving any real answers whatsoever...JMO.
