my theory on shadow people(kind of)

i feel that they are the ones that give us dreams and make us dream not just influence us. they watch us during they day and read our minds, while we sleep they put it all together and thats what we dream. their interpretation of us.

also the feeling of dread you might get is seeing how you react to fear

just a thought

I believe there are many different types of shadow people. I have never felt dread, or had one bother me. They just coexisted in the same space.

RE: my theory on shadow people(kind of)
i believe that they are spirits who are unable to gain the power to fully manifest.... or they are ashamed of there appearence lol, on a serious note, some spirits actually prefer to manifest as a shadow because it is the belief amongst people that they are bad and evil and they take on this persona so they are feared and left alone.

RE: my theory on shadow people(kind of)
I agree with Ali...I think there are many different kinds. I don't believe all are negative, although I do think some that are seen might be manifestations of negative energy. But I've never felt in danger from one. My mom did...and it was the only time she ever reported seeing something to me. She was pretty much a skeptic until that...after seeing that, she wasn't so sure. I do think the main reason she felt in danger was because it was unexpected and she was scared..not so much that it was actually going to harm her.

Interesting theory, PontiacTempest! I do think the dread that is felt is a reaction to our own fear. I'm not sure about the dreams, as I am of the opinion that dreams are symbols of our waking lives. But I do believe (personal opinion here) that there are shadows that do observe us. I don't have any proof to back that up..like you, it's just a theory.

I agree with the idea that Shadow People aren't all negative.. I know it's probably quite easy to associate "dark" figures with evil or negativity, but really that is just how those particular beings manifest.

What I am personally unsure of is WHAT they are... are they spirits of dead people that just manifest that way? Or is there a whole other dimension of beings we are yet to discover?

Interesting. I saw what could have been a shadow person once... it really scared me.. but not because I thought it was evil, just because I wasn't expecting to see it!

I could be wrong but I don't think they watch us and then orchestrate our dreams. I, too, believe there are different types of shadow people or shadow energies. I think what that energy is or isn't depends on how dimensional it is and if it interacts. I've not felt dread with ones I've seen although I know some who have... but was the dread merely their fear of the unknown or did the shadow emit a negative energy? I don't know.

RE: my theory on shadow people(kind of)
My experiences with shadow people were more of bewilderment. Since I have not had a negative experience, I wonder if some of the negative reactions are from fear of the unknown. Personally, I believe the majority of shadow people are apparitions not fully materialized. There are humans that give off positive and negative energy in real life. Why would it be any different when they pass?

RE: my theory on shadow people(kind of)
I don't think they necessarily have to do with people's spirits or souls, since there are also manifestations of animals too. When we talk of dimensions, we don't really think about how are universe is mostly made up of matter. Perhaps in another parallel dimension which runs beside ours, energy is the more predominant state. I'm not entirely sure, but what I do think is that in whatever world or universe they exist, emotions and feelings are much stronger; hence why some negative ones can have enough power to paralyze someone.

Benjammin- I agree to a certain extent. I do believe there is the possibility of a parallel dimension. That is why I lean towards there being different types of shadow people. I do not believe all sightings can be put into one category.

One shadow person I saw after my mother passed resembled the 'Hat Man'. I do believe he could have been inter-demensional. The others, in my home, I believe were human spirits. None of them were two dimensional, all were as solid as you and I.
