RE: Belial - Information
Yes I havent been around for a while - my computer went for repairs. Thank you for the article, I have bookmarked it on my pc. Of course we wouldnt be able to defend ourselves alone against satan and his army, just think about it... every person who is not a believer will eventually belong to the devil. I pray and read the bible eveyday. I trust God more than anyone and will never let evil take over. Thank you for your concern

Demons are by invitation only...and if you hear your name spoken in a crowded room you will turn around and listen to what is being said to you don't you?

So do they.

If you intend to research things such as this it's really better to keep it to yourself and not speak or write a specific name.

This is interesting to me... and if I can explain a few things I would appreciate any input. I am a writer. I am currently writing a book in which a young lady who does not believe in God is witness to one of the most feared demons known to man through a possession and exorcism.

She isn't the one possessed, rather she witnesses the events first hand. The point of the story will ultimately be that God does exist and that we, as people, have to be aware of the things we do that can cause demons to enter our lives. Basically, the choice is yours and you should choose wisely.

That said, when writing a book that you want to be scary... fear is a great motivator... one has to use the tools available. I was researching demons, for the purpose of the book, which is, oddly enough, how I ended up here... and I have read that speaking certain names can bring them into your life. Now you are saying that the use of any demons name could invite them.

So... my question is... do you believe that writing a book for the purpose of proving God's existence will provoke demons which are used to illustrate the point I am trying to make... that God exists?

I clicked on this thread because of the name the OP listed. I chose not to use that name because it was in the movie The Exorcism Of Emily Rose and I didn't want to use the same demon in my story.

I read a number of web articles and accounts of a demon named Zozo and much of what I read about this demon parallels what you are saying. And I can't help worrying about it.

So... anyone care to share some thoughts on this?

Spiritual protection is the answer. Unfortunately as a writer you are placing the invitation in the hands of your readers, even if you do not invoke it for yourself.

If this is fiction, make something up. It would be much safer in the long run.

For the believer, both the evidence of science and the failure of science to explain the paranormal is all the proof they need. For the sceptic, no evidence no matter how scientific will ever be proof enough. ~John Zaffis
