RE: A fantastic video of explanations of the brain.
I watched the whole thing and it was very interesting and informative. Thanks......as to what comment to make its hard he mentioned so many topics and i am not sure what his belief is.
In other words i am not even sure if he was supporting the atheistic view on things. The visual part was very understandable where as things are seen the way are brain is programed. On what we expect or what is first in our mind.I am going to find and read more on this gentleman. “All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.” ― Edgar Allan Poe |

RE: A fantastic video of explanations of the brain.
Really enjoyed this video! I have always advised people to document things that are happening so they can look for patterns. Lately, I have been amending that advice...I still think that patterns can show something, BUT, this video confirms what I have been reading lately, and that is that our brains are always looking for patterns. Seeing one doesn't necessarily mean that it is significant. And I learned two new words today!! =) **the part at the end was great!!!** "When you feel like a toad on the highway of life... and everyone seems like a steel-belted radial... when you're lyin' there squished in an assortment of bodily fluids... at least you left your mark." ~Arnie Dogan, "The Red Green Show" |

RE: A fantastic video of explanations of the brain.
I actually have read some of his articles in the past, but I had not seen a vid yet. Thanks for sharing that.
I agree our brain seeks to pattern as it were. I don't think ALL things seen from a paranormal standpoint can be explained that way. For people like him, I wish for them to have a real experience that science has yet the answer. I also noticed during his college years he moved away from theological studies and his religion to ultimately atheism although the write up I read about his credentials and life said he transitioned to agnostic first. I don't agree or disagree with that choice, I just found it worthy of note. Interesting video, UNR, but I don't think he has all the answers.... and he won't until he experiences that which he cannot explain. JMO and umm .. no monkey lips for me!
