RE: Dreaming of Cats???
By Paul Brunton After much research I have come to see the world of dreams as just another dimension of reality, one that changes continuously, a place where our ‘self’ can communicate with the waking mind when it sleeps. The images that we see is a form of language the ‘Self’ conveys to the mind or you. It is also the only form that we seem to remember, as most verbal communication in dreams are rarely ever understood by the mind let alone remember long enough to interpret them. Therefore when you find yourself waking up and remembering seeing an image or many, it is very good to write them down even if it is just only one word e.g. cat... I have had yet another dream of Cats, and the more I see these beauties in my dreams the more I notice how real they are. In this dream... I was talking to my sister and we were sitting outside a building of sort, at the back to be precise and it looked like it was noon and my sister was eating crackers. We were speaking for a long while until we both felt something behind us and when we both turn around at the same time we both saw, setting quietly was a beautiful white cat. She was looking at my sister and indicating to her if she could have a cracker and so my sister gave one to the cat and she ate it with delight and smiled graciously afterwards. I notice her mannerisms were very human, even the way her eyes looked at you, and it appeared rather like my sister was holding a beautiful little girl instead of a cat. The dream ended with my sister picking her up and we both descended down the steps... Well...animals are simplistic and natural and is closely linked to the earth. Spiritually speaking they are our protectors as well as teachers on the path to understanding the reality of this realm, or our journey in this life. When we dream it is very likely that they will appear to us as a guide or a symbol to understanding our ‘self’, our own psychological urges, desire or to convey the situation at hand that we in waking hours are neglecting to pursue or work out. ------ My interpretation of this dream is that it’s about the ‘power within’. Family symbolises the unification of Love and Wisdom from which arises Power, and to see my sister in my dreams indicate that I am capable of such understanding of the knowledge presented in my life at this moment in time. The noon hours in my dreams shows me that I am very much well aware of all that is happening to me, the activities in my life, however I am in doubt as the crackers or the image of eating speaks of the lack of feed back in my life that is creating this uncertainty or in ability. But the beautiful cat that appeared is telling me that I have the power within to master the steps that will take me to where I want to be. She is also telling me, this beauty (cat) that yes, there is indeed two sides to everything as there is two sides to cats; one devious and one helpful and the capricious side to her should not be intimidate yet rather embraced. She is also telling me that there is this elegant sensuous and also powerful yet self-sufficient aspect about me that I need to allow to come through, a part of me that is eager to come out but I am not allowing it to... and she is showing me in some ways how to through her actions in the dream... I hope this help to understand more about the symbols of cats in our dreams.... |

I have had a few dreams of my teeth falling out into my hands, and it was awful..... Pride and Fear always distort the truth into either a false sense of security or a lack of confidence and diminished self-worth.
