Pendulums... how to make my sessions meaningful.

Sponsor Messages
I only recently started using Pendulums. I am trying to use it to contact my spirit guide as I heard using Pendulums is a good tool for that.
I have, so far, received some really strong answers to some questions but I'm not sure where to take it from here...

I guess my question is: What sorts of things should I ask? What can I ask? I find it limiting that it has to be "Yes" and "No" answers but I try my best to work with that....

What sorts of things can I ask it about? My future? Things about the after-life? It's SO hard finding a way to question these things so they can be answered in a "Yes" and "No" fashion that I get frustrated....
But I want to stick with it as I've really enjoyed it so far.

Any help or tips or advice?

RE: Pendulums... how to make my sessions meaningful.
From what I have read about it, the questions should in essence be something you can control. For example "should I continue writing my book?" rather than "is my book going to be a bestseller?" or "can I trust this person?" rather than "will I meet the man of my dreams today?" (I know you're married and not looking for questions like that, but you get the idea).

Hope that helps! I'm not really educated myself on using pendulums, but I have watched others use them and I have read some about them.

Well, to help broaden your question asking, something I do is ask things and try and get a general overview of the outcome and whether or not it's "positive" or "negative", rather than yes and no. That's helped me some.
You can literally ask anything you'd like; there's no limit to your own creativity. My best advice is to get creative with how to phrase things into yes and no questions, haha. (:

I honestly have found that casting runes (similar to tarot cards) is much better for me because I can get answers that are much more detailed. Maybe if you're frustrated, you should try another medium of some sort instead of just using a pendulum?

I am because I need to be.

I find this a fascinating subject. I do not know a lot about it as far as different techniques to use and so on.
I too am under the impression that your questions need to be specific and controlled. (as SG stated)

I wish you the best of luck, and really look forward to reading some comments here on different ways to use the pendulum. Icontexto-emoticons-01-032x032 Please keep us posted on your progress. What a great thread you started. Icontexto-emoticons-04-032x032

The only way I have been able to get answers from a pendulum is when I ask questions that I need answering. But it doesn't always work for me.

RE: Pendulums... how to make my sessions meaningful.
I've since had an unsettling experience using the Pendulum... I think it may have been my fault as I essentially turned it into a Ouija Board by using letter and number cards etc. I still have my pendulum but haven't used it in quite some time. It's a beautiful item.. but it has been left in my drawer, I've felt usure about whether to continue using it.

I can't believe I've never seen this thread before LOL.

Remember....any divination tool is just that, a tool. And remember, when your asking questions of your divinations whether they be pendulums, runes, tarot, ouija that the answers are not set in stone Smile

Faeries, come take me out of this dull world,
For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.
(William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894)
