Sleep Paralysis, with shadow people..scary

Sponsor Messages
This is my first time sharing this story with a forum; although I am on paranormal sites often; anway I have had sleep paralysis my whole life but the most recent ones are the only ones that I can remember that included shadow people or beings. I had just moved into my new apartment in a suburb of detroit, michigan, so I was partying literally every night for 38 dayz in a row (no lie) also I would freestyle with my friends all night while under the influence..and I could remember sayin to them I don't know where the rhymes that I was saying where coming from..because some of the word I had never said before..and my rhymes were so great and on point..well. better then usually althought I have never wriitten rhymes while intoxicated..well close to the 38th day of of partyin I passed out on my bed and in the middle of the night I woke up be could not move anything but my eyes..I was terrified..when I looked down toward my feet I say a shadow at the edge of my bed...oh yea also I could hear what sound like a lot of witches laughin outside my window..but the shadow creature was the scariest..as he just stared at me while I tried to move..so in my head I said get the heck out..and after that I was able to move again and the sound was gone and shadow being was gone..the next time I woke up in the middle of the night I saw a shadow being in my door way also what looked like a invisible person but the person was james dean (if that's hisname..the guy from rebel without a cause) smoking a cigarette just peeking in my doorway..but also there was a shadow being. This time I said in my head in the name of jesus get out of here..and they left immediatly..tha crazy thing about it is I'm not scared of them anymore and wasn't scared those times, but I did start hanging a chain with a cross over my bed when I slept..the reason I mentioned the rap thing is maybe I was somehow influenced by those creatures or maybe they were there because I was under the influence so much I was drawing in or creating negative energy with all of the partying and negative rap..idk if the two have anything to do with each other but it sure is a coinsidense...but anyway since then I have had two move sleep paralysis event..as a matter of fact that is what made me start looking into the paranormal..if anyone has any question or comment plz do so..I am interested in the subject...also another thought before I go..I believe a lot of musicians are posessed or where posessed and maybe that is how they get posessed..just a thought ..sry for any misspelings I am typing this on my phone at work lol...god bless bye..oh yea also i noticed i only have sleep paralysis when i sleep on my back..ok bye

RE: Sleep Paralysis, with shadow people..scary
Have you ever heard the story of the blues singer Robert Johnson? Legend has it that he sold his soul to the Devil for a career in music. It's a myth, but it makes for an interesting story.

Sleep paralysis is widely believed to be a natural phenomenon without a paranormal connection...although the experience itself does feel paranormal. What I do think is that we get out of life exactly what we put into it. If you spend your time in negative thoughts and actions, it is going to begat more negative. Now in my opinion, this can vary from person to person as far as what creates that energy.

I hope things are better for you and that you're filling your life with a lot more positive.

I don't think selling your soul to the devil for fame n fortune is a myth..I listen to a lot of music and I hear a lot of artist they havemmmatter of fact dmx alwys said it..there are many documentaries on satanism and the music industry on youtbe..so I think that's very real..sellin yur soul..alota rap music talks about it and rock and roll has been talkin about it..like kiss for example..

I think any time that fame and fortune becomes the be all and end all of your existence, you are in essence selling your soul. I am not saying every famous person or every musician has sacrificed their soul for the almighty dollar or their fame, but I do think the temptation is a lot stronger.

As in all things, it is up to the person involved.

It doesn't matter what you desire the most in our lives, you know who, knows just what that is for each and everyone of us... And we are all just human, we all desire something... Beauty, love, money, fame, power... the list goes on and on. But we poses the most powerful thing of all already your soul... It is the end all be all...
You are going through what a lot of us did, when we where young. Maybe there are some on here right now going through it right with you... Life is like a book, we just get on different chapters. I'm on my chapter, your on yours. We can only do the best we can, and treat others, as we want to be treated... All will be well... Your friend Mel

RE: Sleep Paralysis, with shadow people..scary
I have had a couple of instances of sleep paralysis, it happens off and on. I know how you feel, it is a very scary feeling. After researching the phenomena, I'm convinced that it is a neurological event. Forgive me for not knowing the chemical off the top of my head, I want to say melatonin but I'm not sure that's right. Anyway, your brain releases this chemical while you are sleeping and regulates its flow through your body, tapering it off when it is getting closer for time to wake up. Sometimes, you wake up too fast and this chemical is still strong in your body causing minor paralysis and mild hallucinations. For myself, I noticed it happens more when I am stressed about something. Stress causes your body's natural cycles to get all out of whack.

Hope that helps some!

I noticed when i had it happen I slept in another area of my home and the EMF was extremely high in that room.

This condition is especially common in people who experience narcolepsy, but it is also associated with lack of sleep, poor sleeping conditions, stress, and other sleep disorders. On its own, sleep paralysis is not inherently harmful, although it can be scary, and it can also be a sign of a more serious problem which needs to be addressed. Repeated episodes of sleep paralysis, especially if accompanied by terrifying hallucinations, are definitely cause for a trip to the doctor.

When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence.

RE: Sleep Paralysis, with shadow people..scary
I think (and this is just a suggestion) that when the brain wakes before the body does, it is possible that the shadows seen can be the remnants of dreams. The nervous system as well as the endocrine system are still keeping the body in a paralyzed state, so it could be that the activators in the brain are still stimulating the dream process. In this half asleep, half awake state, it's possible that the images would appear as shadowy images.

I will say that UNR is right as far as many incidents and severe hallucinations. Definitely want to rule out anything medical that could be harmful to you.

I know that a lot of people experience things like this, God Blessed, and you are definitely not alone.
