Miracle healings from God?
Sponsor Messages I will tell you the story about a friend of mine. She is young girl, full of life.Until she got from the doctor who sad that she has cancer on her hips. The most disturbing was when they told her that they cant help her.I felt so sorry for her.I couldnt even act normal like she did. She couldnt walk, she was in pains all the time. She sad that the only thing that is left is her faith in God and Jesus,so she must try that.Than some priests and her parents prayed for her a lot. After a while she went to the doctor on control. And when they examined her she didn't have cancer anymore! The doctors couldn't believe what happened. Her personal doctor was so happy that she started to cry. After a while she even climbed on a mountain alone,we were together there.I am so happy to have this girl again. |

RE: Miracle healings from God?
Cancer is so awful, and the main thing that makes it so awful is how it can hide. I do hope that she is continuing to be checked out regularly to make sure it is really gone.
I do agree that people have been healed by means that baffle the doctors. Does faith have something to do with it? I believe the mind and the body are connected in ways that haven't even been discovered yet, so yes, I think it is possible that faith does have a lot to do with it. People have been healed by crying statues that have been proven later to be hoaxes. Does that negate the healing? No, it only negates the object that people put their faith in. The faith was still there, and I do believe that it is the faith that is powerful. But what of those that had faith and were not healed? Is it a pick and choose kind of thing? Again, it is an explanation that seems to elude us. RE: Miracle healings from God?
About the hoaxes and statues..I look it in some different way.God is around us and people didn't get well from fake blood, but from Gods presence. And Gods presence wasn't just in the blood but around people. This was just at wrong place to heal because like this at the end can be a hoax. Also nobody mentioned how many people were healed with no statues and no blood, just their faith and God.Many Many more..This also gets to a theory that only one bad thing can spoil many good ones so..I understand that. And about ones that were not healed..I believe that everyone has his path on this world, and everybody destiny and mission is different. |

RE: Miracle healings from God?
I am glad to hear that your friend is well, sundayangelmona...and maybe some things we should just accept as a gift. That doesn't stop me from wanting to find answers for things, but at the same time, I respect that this person knows what she experienced, and she knows that she is well now. I'm glad you shared the story, and I always enjoy your posts.

RE: Miracle healings from God?
We seem to forget the hundreds that die every day that had people praying for them. Its the one case that is healed we remember. Lets also look at a misdiagnosis I have seen this myself, a doctor tells my mother they will need a colostomy bag for the rest of their life, They went for a second opinion and it was a major mistake by the first doctor. Now they could of said miracle cure but the truth was a poor doctor.
Another doctor kept telling a friend they were on the verge of having MS, they treated them wrong for three years, this person was bedridden most of this time. They finally sought out another doctor, he dropped the medicines, gave them vitamins, now they work 80 hours a week, miracle? No another poor diagnosis. Now I do believe positive thinking can help, but is it god or your mind convincing your body? When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

RE: Miracle healings from God?
My grandmother died after a misdiagnosis. I didn't blame God for that, I blamed bad doctors. So if God deserves praise for the miracle healing, doesn't he also warrant anger for a misdiagnosis that took my grandmother from me? Otherwise, I am only looking at what is convenient. That is not to take away at all from your friends experience, sundayangelmona...just UNR getting me thinking as usual! =) "When you feel like a toad on the highway of life... and everyone seems like a steel-belted radial... when you're lyin' there squished in an assortment of bodily fluids... at least you left your mark." ~Arnie Dogan, "The Red Green Show" |

RE: Miracle healings from God?
I know a positive attitude is everything. I always have a smile, and try and be as positive person. You say your friend is this way. This is her greatest gift in fighting this cancer. My husband and I where just talking about this, he is a negative person, glass always half empty guy. I do know there is power in prayer, but if I pray, or you pray, it is the same strength of a priest, or preacher, in my opinion. Our Angels are great helps in our prayers with us... And the more people who pray with us the better, I think... But we can all be positive, and smile, and think good thoughts... Through this we get better... Not always heal completly as your friend did, which is great, and I'm so happy for you and your friend... Love ya Melanie

(of which there are far too many). No hard feelings,I like your post too I like when there are many aspects and thoughts about same subject. If I just wanted my opinion, and if I just thought that my opinion is wright I wouldn't put the threads on the forum. About you grand mother.. I'm sorry for your loss. But I think that god isn't like machine and when you put the coin you should be health.I just saw many people get better when charismatic priests divided by God and Jesus pray for them. Also they pray themselves. You see a child in wheelchair with the disease that couldn't be cured, you see his desperate parents that can not help that child. And it starts walking in front of my eyes. That is what I'm saying. Maybe if I didn't see these things I would be skeptic about that, but I can not think different now when I saw all that. |

RE: Miracle healings from God?
I do see what you're saying...I was multitasking when I posted that, and I don't know if I made the point I was going for.
What I meant was...when something good happens, the first thing I personally think of is "God in action". When something bad happens, I automatically think "human beings were responsible". In that sense, I think I am only using my faith when it is convenient. That is something I have to work through, and it is this thread that has me on that thought process...and that is a good thing! Anything that gets the grey matter working is worthwhile!
