RE: Not A Childs Game
I too tried this "game" when I was 12. There were 4 of us though "lifting" our friend. I was not in a state of sleepiness. It did work for us. Scared us to death!!!

Keep in mind too that the power of suggestion is strong and has proven effects, even in a mass number of people involved. I'm not de-bunking what you say you experienced, just that sometimes there can be another answer to the why or how it happened.
Sucks to be me, (pun intended) |

RE: Not A Childs Game
I've heard of people doing this before & it working...
I believe its possible. As for how it happened, I just think the mind is a veryy powerful thing, sometimes doing what the body cannot or will not... like with this sorta thing!^^ "To really ask is to open the door to the whirlwind. The answer may annihilate the question and the questioner."
"But reason was only a created thing, imposed with faith upon the world, and the stars promise nothing to no one."

RE: Not A Childs Game
It works. I've done it before. Did it just like described in the link. I'm not sure about his explanation though.
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." -Aristotle (384 BC - 322 BC) |

RE: Not A Childs Game
Faeries, come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind, Run on the top of the dishevelled tide, And dance upon the mountains like a flame. (William Butler Yeats, "The Land of Heart's Desire," 1894) |
