What are the best true-life haunting accounts in books?
Sponsor Messages So far, I have read - The Amityville Horror by Jay Ansen -The Uninvited by Stephen LaChance - The South Shields Poltergeist - Who's There? By Collette Shires I am really really in the mood for more haunted-home stories. Are there are other good ones you can recommend to me? Thank you |

There's "The Entity" by Frank De Felitta...about a woman who claims to have been attacked by an entity of some kind. It is based on a real person. Lots of controversy behind it as far as what actually happened...but it is an interesting read.

RE: What are the best true-life haunting accounts in books?
Hi Fiona,
I love The Amityville Horror too, I'm not a reader much, I need to be, my intelligence would rise. I really think that Amityville story is amazing, and for the most part true... I also am amazed at, story's from the past about true people, like (Mary Tudor) Bloody Mary, those are truly scary because people really behaved that way... I can't remember the name of the girl, she was from Germany and was possessed now that is the 1# scaryest in my book, I heard her talking on a tape on the internet... And I sure don't want to hear that again... Mel "Be who you are, and say what you want Because those that matter, don't mind And those that mind, don't matter" ~Dr Suess~ |

Hi Goonis!
![]() I think the book you are talking about might be The Exorcism of Annaliese Michel.... A film was made based on that called The Exorcist of Emily Rose which is available on DVD... I read that book too, and it WAS really scary! What I liked about it was the way the writer just simply presented the case and the facts and theories without being too dramatic and silly.... I liked it a lot. I recommend it to anyone. I know not everyone agrees that she was possessed but that girl went through some freaky, awful things! |
