The Tillman Story (2010)

When pro football player Pat Tillman died in a friendly-fire incident in Afghanistan in 2004, the military manipulated his tragic death in the line of duty into a glorifying propaganda tool, with a conspiracy reportedly reaching as far up as the president of the United States.

I will drive wherever I have to go to see that one...hopefully it will be somewhere around here.

"I don't recall"...."I can only guess"..."I don't remember"....wow, for people who run militaries, they sure don't know very much do they?

Definitely a must see, Bracket. I followed this after it happened. It's a disgrace to our men in uniform. He was special forces, too, Army Ranger.

For other readers... here's a synopsis from wiki ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Tillman

Yeah, it didn't seem like it mattered how he died. They saw an oppertunity for some PR and went with it.

I think it was purely a cover up in the first place by those present. Accidental or not .... friendly fire is never something they want to send home as the reason. Makes them look stupid.

I don't know about that, because friendly fire is reported all the time (of course, i'm not saying "every time"). I think they looked at his background after his death and saw an opportunity to help themselves.

I just give him a proud salute and remember him and his family in my prayer's.I also really want to see the movie. He was a hero.

Certainly a possibility, but it sure backfired.
