With total respect to your views I ultimately say, when you experience what I have, you will edit the ending of that article. I think others on here would agree. It is a divination tool, yes. My first experience "was what it was"...harrowing... and I'll never be able to prove that to you... it was an experience.

TXlady nobody is saying your experiance was not real to you. But like I believe it whats in your heart that speaks through you. If you are afraid and use a divintaion tool you will get fear back or bad experiance. There is simply no way to prove to me that ouija boards are even remotely connected to evil spirits.
You must have to take into consideration all other possiblities.
There is no way for sure that your experiance was evil or demonic. It could have been fears manifesting.
Thats not taking away what you believe is true.
There are just alot of factors to go over and I have personally never seen any connection with ouija and demons.

To clarify, Gypsy, I've used the board many times. I wasn't afraid before doing it at all. I didn't say it was a demonic although it could be categorized as somewhat dark. I said my first experience was harrowing...even dark...and not a good experience. I have had a couple of others that were .. umm .. disconcerting... and others that were informative and able to be backed up with research. I also hope you never have one that is dark, evil or demonic.

Thank you TXlady for clarifying but i still dont see people having bad experiances with a board letters and a plachette. Unless there some negativity there to begin with. Its my personal belief because without a person summoning there useless.
There is a saying; Magic is in the heart of everyone. But there is also good and bad in everyone.
I think people will manifest what is around them or what they fear more easily.

I know you don't see it ... that is clear. Maybe we summoned more than we bargained for. The end Wink

RE: I wanna hear peoples experiences with Ouija boards!
I've never played with one, but i know people who have. Now i don't want to say i don't believe them cause that's just cruel, but, i do believe certain things to an extend...

On Sunday when i went for a tan i ran into someone at the gym and we started talking about ouija boards and how she plays with her constantly.... She told me about a few experiences she's had and she said 'GEO, i don't even touch the board and it's moving'... ok, so back to the story. A few family members were playing it and one family member who was '14' at the time asked 'when am i going to die?' the board replied 'sometime this year'... Well they thought 'whatever' she did die that year, unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm (sp?). Icontexto-emoticons-10-032x032 So who knows......

RE: I wanna hear peoples experiences with Ouija boards!
First I agree if you don't feel right about it, don't do it. I mean, if it's something you DO want to do, to overcome your fear, then I guess that's one thing, though I might suggest other more gradual means of acclimatization like attending sessions rather than participating yourself, but it's up to you.

I've posted my experiences different places. My group used a board for about five years solid, average once, maybe twice a week, every week, and only had about a month that I'd say we had a negative experience, and it was due to a problem manifesting that existed with a member and sort of between members, rather than anything "on the board" specifically, though it did interfere with the sessions. I could go into specifics on the negative experience but because it turned out to be bogus (in my opinion), I'll just say that it, like a lot of the other things on the board, did use a pun, in that it called itself a "shade", which is both an old term for a spirit, and I guess specifically a dark one, but also that which blocks light and illumination, or understanding and learning, so basically identified itself as ignorance, in a roundabout way, which was pretty fitting.

We got everything from reincarnated friends and stories about our own past lives, family, spirit animals, aliens, people that were abducted by the church, librarians, valley girl (fer sure!) spirit guides and trapped and lost and confused souls apparently needing to be "crossed over" which we "did", to the Moon, a story about a book that was in a cave that could only be read while you were there, using trees as portals or doorways, and even someone else that claimed he was using the Ouija board and asked "are you dead" and freaked out and quit talking when we told him we were alive and also using the board. That one is my favorite.

We had some interesting things happen over those times, somewhere near the times we used the board, a few times, but overall I feel like I could explain most all of them as mundane, and would have to see traveler pieces move on their own to believe it, no offense to anyone. The other members of the group were of varying belief systems and I was too young to have established one firmly at the time but have since by now and I now believe while I still enjoy the board and thought what we did was quite interesting, including the blindfold experiment, Ouija boards work on the ideomotor principle and do not contact unearthly entities, again, no offense to people who claim otherwise, as one of the people is still very much a believer in most of this and spirits and such, where I have actually moved the opposite direction, but we're still good friends and still both interested in the paranormal and share information and articles, etc.

Here is a page that has free downloadable/printable Ouija board doc files: http://paranormalcy.zanysite.com/static....405-212301

Ouija Use 1992-1996: 1.5 sess./day @45 min./sess. (1.13h) @83.4 days/yr @4 yrs
Group: 500.6 sess. = 375.4 hrs/4 yrs
Personal Partic.: 67% = 335.4 sess. = 251.5 hrs/4 yrs
Current Conclusion: Ideomotor effect and suggestibility

RE: I wanna hear peoples experiences with Ouija boards!
Whether or not the board itself is good or bad, I think it brings out things that people aren't aware of in the spirit realms and in "self." Perhaps those who say "the board is nothing more than a tool that reflects the self" are speaking from experience and also from a high awareness level - high in self-knowledge of their own beliefs and the world around them... these people don't seem to fear the boards, but I would say - unless you're extremely self-aware, have double-checked your belief system to find it quite solid and are also willing to be accountable for consequences of whatever your board experience brings, do learn much, much more about this tool/ceremony before you mess around.
