I love "Most Haunted."
Sponsor Messages I really recommend it, if you haven't seen it. Basically it was started by a husband and wife (Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie) and they go to haunted locations across the UK (and sometimes abroad) doing experiments and investigations to try to catch paranormal activity. Whilst they have not yet been lucky enough to catch a spirit on tape, they HAVE caught some amazing footage before, such as books being thrown at them, some factual information given through Ouija Board/seance sessions etc. I love it! I think some of the fans of the show have started to get bored of it *it has been going for years* and it has had quite a lot of criticism recently...the usual type of criticism- for instance "It can't be real" or "they must be faking it" but I remain a believer in this show ![]() Have you seen the show? What do you think of it? Amazon have got some great deals on the Live Specials of this show. |

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
Fiona, 'Most Haunted' is aired on the Travel Channel on Friday nights here in the US. I don't know the exact time as it's always being changed around, but I think right now it's on at 9 PM CST.
I too enjoy the show and have nerdily kept a spreadsheet of every place they've visited since I discovered the show in 2005. I want to be able to visit these places my own and judge for myself whether they're haunted or not. The only disappointment I've had thus far is not really doing proper research and discovering too late that one place they've visited near my friend in Morecambe isn't open to the public. ![]() While I don't really believe their evidence, I do enjoy the first half of the show where they discuss the history of wherever they're visiting. I miss the historian Richard (can't remember his last name) and find Leslie a bit OTT. What would you do if you knew nothing about me, yet I said that I'd protect you with my life, then died doing just that and later you discovered I was someone you would've hated had our paths crossed under different circumstances? It's all just one big *facepalm* around here. I heart Sandra Bullock. |

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
My favourite medium they ever had on the show was David Wells! He is great and gets so much accurate information. It was a shame he left. I once had tickets to one of the Most Haunted Live Events but I couldn't go in the end as I couldn't get the time off work

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
Most haunted has been busted faking evidence as well as most of the paranormal shows on television. They are television shows so please take them as that. They are for entertainment purposes and make up stuff for ratings. You can see for your self here
This is what was shown on tv This is what was really filmed. When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
Every time this show comes up, this happens. I'm not going to post in this thread anymore. I'm sick of people acting like anyone who watches the show and enjoys it hasn't a shred of common sense.

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
I know that "Most Haunted" has come under fire a lot, as well as the rest of the shows like this. I know that in faking evidence, or showing things with natural explanations as paranormal, the whole field has suffered...which is why it is important to call out anything fake. But to be honest...no one I know that watches these shows actually thinks the evidence is real. It is enjoyed for the locations they go to. I agree that presenting it as evidence is irresponsible, but when I hear they are going to a location that I know there is no way in this life (or any other) I'm going to get to see...must admit, I am right there watching! (also must admit...seeing what I can debunk, lol) "When you feel like a toad on the highway of life... and everyone seems like a steel-belted radial... when you're lyin' there squished in an assortment of bodily fluids... at least you left your mark." ~Arnie Dogan, "The Red Green Show" |

RE: I love "Most Haunted."
UglyNRude- I think the videos you linked simply showed that the team found it extremely funny that the medium used the words "Mary loves dick." I don't think there was any blatant cheating caught there unless I'm mistaken?
The truth is, Most Haunted DID want to be a serious investigative show, and they actually asked Derek Acorah (the medium in the video) to leave the show after suspecting that he actually faked some things. So they wanted to preserve the dignity of the show themselves! Did you know that they deliberately set him up to see if he would cheat -and he did- and they basically asked him to leave the show. That speaks volumes because Derek was actually friends of theirs at the start of the show.... Yes, I do understand that Most Haunted is geared towards entertaining people, but I believe that at least some of the things they caught on film were paranormal in nature...such as when a video caught a book literally sliding off a shelf without anyone standing near it...after they asked the spirit to do so. Things like that make it worth watching. People will always be suspicious but most people enjoy it, find it fun- and when the occasional unexplainable thing happens, that makes it all the more worth while... |

I've watched it a couple times but never really got into it. I never really liked their heavy use of psychics.
