http://www.talkparanormal.com/thread-2060.html There are a couple of threads that are on the subject...and we also have a video UNR posted about other explanations for what feels like deja vu...or that sense of having been somewhere or lived a moment of time before. http://www.talkparanormal.com/thread-5163.html Edit to add: I have had that feeling before. I have found other explanations for it that make sense to me, but it is still a fascinating subject. RE: Deja Vu? What is it?
What about the scientific reasoning is stupid and makes no sense? The last I'd read on it, it was essentially described as the same neuron firing twice, creating the illusion of the same scene happening once, with the fraction of a second in between the two happenings being interpreted by the brain wrongly.

RE: Deja Vu? What is it?
It is weird... I had it last night, and I just knew I had said and done what was happening before and it involved three different people. And it was one of those that you say I know something bad is going to happen next... Scary, I hate that. But good news nothing did. So that's the main thing. Right? So weird, almost makes you think there might possibly be more to it then your brain back firing on you. But may be that's all it is. Now if something bad would of happened I might have an argument to the contrary... Mel

RE: Deja Vu? What is it?
This is going to sound stupid but sometimes I could be sitting talking to my mum and she is about to tell a story and I sorta feel weird as if i'm not on this planet then suddenly I snap back into it and I feel like my mums told me this story before, which she assures me she hasn't because whatever she was talking about only just happened, I read somewhere or heard somewhere that when people say that happens, the person has actually sort of time travelled ahead of time momentarily allowing them to hear/see what is about to happen in real life, then when they "return" to their normal state they feel like the de ja vu. RE: Deja Vu? What is it?
It's just so scary when you get it, and then you get this terrible feeling in your gut something bad is going to happen next. That's the worst...

RE: Deja Vu? What is it?
It is weird, and I do the same thing I sit there trying to realize what the hell just happened lol. I've had deja vu twice I believe.
Life is not measured by how many breaths you take, but by how many moments in life that take your breath away.
