I Saw A White (Female) Apparition At My Grandparents House. She Was On The Stairs.

Haley- Thanks for sharing your experience. I have to admit that if it had happened to me, I WOULD have been scared. Seeing a figure of a faceless woman in front of me would have sent me running out of the door. It's wonderful you were able to stand there and enjoy the moment of seeing something most of us only dream of seeing- many of us want that proof and don't get it.

I saw a spirit a while back, a woman in the bedroom that was actually the spirit of my husbands Nan, but I saw her and felt very frightened...as much as I always wanted to experience something paranormal, when it finally happened, I totally wanted to escape and get out lol.

Haley, the little girl in our home, she looks about 10 and she is in what looks like her night gown, white and frilly. She is normally seen at the bottom of our stairs, which baffles me as we put those stairs in ourselves about 3 years ago (cant remember to be honest) We call her Mary, again I dont know why i called her that, at first i thought it was a boy who was heard about the house, banging and moving things, i thought his name was Martin or mark, then i just sort of knew it was a wee lassie, thats when we began to see her, i called her Mary from the on.

My sons have seen her and one of their girlfriends also saw her, scared the living daylights out of her hahahaha.

Goonis a gas ring is the hob on the cooker, you know one that you turn the gas knob and press a button to ignite the gas to cook with.

Isn't it funny how you seem to go into trance before a sighting?

thats cool. oh, its not as uncommon as you think to be able to "see things" even at a young age. sometimes i think my family is what i call: "a magnet to the paranormal." my 2 twin cousins have had experiences sense they were 3. they are the ones who introduced the family tale of the ghost at my grandparents house. my grandmother says she has never seen anything with the decription of the white lady, but has seen black figures at the corner of her eye. one morning before she picked me up for a visit, she told me that when she was remaking the beds in her and my grandfathers bedroom, she looked slightly to the doorway and saw a black figure leaning against the frame. when she turned her whole body towards it, it scurried away.
but anyway, i don't believe my twin cousins were just imagining it because i have seen the "white lady" too.

Yes I forgot to tell you that part my daughter said when she looked at it. It moved really fast side ways, like I guess she thought it was me. And I said what did it look like? I had a black outfit on, just so happened. And I was laying on the bed playing with our dog, and she came in the room and said mommy you where sneaking around the door looking at me trying to hide. And I said no I wasn't. I ask her what it looked like? She said it was a little taller than you mommy and I'm 5'5. so we have that information taller than 5'5, and black, with white blank face, moves very fast.
What do we think Watcher? I got my money on that Watcher... Whats your take?

lol, thanxs. i was feeling really brave that night i guess.
but im guess im not as brave as people think i am. yes, that night i admit i wasint afraid of seeing the white lady. maybe its because i WANTED to see her. my cousins and the former owners wife(who lived there before my grandparents moved in.) have seen her, i wanted to see her myself. she wasint frightening looking to me. ya, the "no face thing" dose freak me out, but it also confuses me. dose she not want anyone to know who she is or her identity? lol. she was known to be such a nice, sweet old lady when she died and all threw her life. i have only one picture (face close up) of her and she looks very nice. but old and tired. maybe thats what it meant in her obituary when she had been suffering with a illness for such a long time. i wonder if she had cancer?
but anyway, maybe i already said it in my story, but there are some times when i feel VERY uneasy. my heart rate increases, like, so fast like some people say they feel when they have a heart attack.
but again, its not because im afraid of her. i don't feel threatened by her at all. she dosint purposly scare people. i think she is just like most other ghosts. they just want to make contact with the living. weither it be lonelyness, unfinished business, maybe they want to give a message to a living relative, ext. idk.
lol, this isn't meant to be offensive in anyway, but sometimes i think people get scared when it comes to ghosts because they watch to many horror movies. like my mother. my mom mostly believes in how ghosts are explained in horror movies. evil, demonic...things. lol. which makes no sense to me because she admitted seeing her (and my) uncle lee floating above her when she thought she was dying in her hospital bed when she was recovering from cervical cancer. she loved uncle lee. she told me so. dose she still think ALL ghosts are evil? lol.
most of the time i do feel special about my experience. and that i was young when i saw my first ghost. i heard some people tell me stuff like: "omg, really? i waited half my life to see a ghost, and i didn't see one until i was way older! u were 13! wow!"

lol XD. sounds interesting.
thats ok. the problem with me is, i get scared because im jumpy. i have always been easily startled. so sometimes when im upstairs in my grandparents house alone, i feel the white lady's just gonna pop up in the bedroom doorways when i enter a room of something like that. lol, if only ghosts didnt pop up so unexspectedly. if they made there precense known first before they show themselves, it wouldnt jump me so much.

sounds cool. hmm, just another though cause i am imaginative, maybe in the past there were some original stairs that were torn down or replaced before you got there? the little girl may be haunting around were the old stairs used to be?
lol, maybe ghosts can get accustome to new remodeling too, lol.
