Reading about this guy though....I'm not real worried about him getting elected. He's got more concerns with restraining orders against young girls and such....that's NEVER a good start to a campaign....

it worked for slick willy Big Grin

I would not mind a vampire being president. Spice up the ol' White House.

This guy is creepy for harassing a 16 year old girl. Glad to hear the Vampires do not endorse him.

Yeah, but with ol' Bill, they weren't telling him to stay away! :-)

HL, I didn't see your post when I was posting mine...I had a feeling that any true vampires would not want any association with this guy. (Kinda like his idea of impaling certain criminals though....)

Yeah SG, vampires have standards. Personally I think he was disowned from the subculture for going republican. Owl EyesDevil SmileyOwl Eyes

Ah! yes, I did debate whether to mention that because I could potentially offend "Republicans"...agreed, some politicians often have sordid pasts.

Oh, and that is certainly universal, Maia...I have noticed that 'sordid' doesn't discriminate against one party or another!

The more I read this article, the more I have to laugh...people from his adopted political party are trying to justify any association with this guy...

From the article:

Sharkey was once on the Executive Committee of the Hillsborough Co. Republican Party (HCRP) in the 1990s, but A.J. Matthews, HCRP State Committeeman, says he didn't show any of the extreme behaviors he's exhibiting now.

"He does believe in Republican values," Matthews said. "Is he going to make a big splash with his current identification of being a vampire? That's up to the voters to decide."

That's alright Maia, Republican's offended me when during the Reaganomics era the inflation rate quadrupled.

Thinking the 'right' Vampire might make a great next president. "Free Food For All" could be the campaign motto. **Har dee har har har**
