Only if you taking the Picture from that angle if they would have taken from other side it would have been okay?
Couldnt it just be that it fallen over due to age and rott?.
I have always been confused about the Upside down cross theory and fears..
Any info you can give me would be awesome. ThanksIcontexto-emoticons-03-032x032

The supposed cross that is in the photo was actually part of some framework for renovation's they had done at the property according to the previous owner's/tenant's, and not a cross at all.

The hook's could be for either to hang lantern's up ( paraffin filled)so they could see down there, or to hang meat up that they wanted storing, like a larder/fridge.
As I reckon that would be one of, if not the coldest part's in the house.

RE: Hidden chapel in house
My first impression was that the article comes from the Mail which isn't really known for their mainstream reporting methods so that alone makes me suspect.

Second, it's entirely possible that the space was used as both a storage area for a pub and prior to that, a space for Catholic masses during the time of Queen Elizabeth I who forbade Catholic priests from performing any sort of rites.

Quote:It was common for the castles and country houses of England to have some precaution in the event of a surprise, such as a secret means of concealment or escape that could be used at a moment's notice. However, in the time of legal persecution the number of secret chambers and hiding-places increased in the houses of the old Catholic families. These often took the form of apartments or chapels in secluded parts of the houses, or in the roof space, where Mass could be celebrated with the utmost privacy and safety, and nearby there was usually an artfully contrived hiding-place, not only for the officiating priest to slip into in case of emergency, but also to provide a place where the vestments, sacred vessels, and altar furniture could be stored at a moment's notice.

What would you do if you knew nothing about me, yet I said that I'd protect you with my life, then died doing just that and later you discovered I was someone you would've hated had our paths crossed under different circumstances?

It's all just one big *facepalm* around here.

I heart Sandra Bullock.
