All of my personal experiances.

I have always been obsessed with the thought of ghosts and spiritual beings. I guess I like the thought of science not being able to explain everything. I have had a number of experiences myself, but never anything big.

My first experience happened with the death of my grandfather. I don't recall all that happened because at the time I think I was around 7 or 8 (Me being 18 now), but I do remember sitting on my couch with my family during the afternoon. We were watching tv and I started to feel funny. All of a sudden it felt like my heart just dropped and I lost my breath and my eyes went dark. This only lasted for a second before I felt normal again. I didn't think anything of it, but an half an hour later the phone started ringing. It was my grandmother calling my mom and she said that she couldn't wake my grandfather up. My mom got this horrible look on her face. She said that we have to go into my grandparents house now as she is frantic. I didn't know what had happened. My mom takes off and my dad helps me get my shoes off as we follow into town. When we arrive there were ambulances and paramedics coming in and out of the house. Finally after about 10 minutes later I find that my grandpa had passed away in his sleep, and that he passed away about 40 minutes prior to showing up. I believe that this could have been something beyond explaining, almost like a link between me and him.

My next experience was about my yellow labrador retriever. This dog was the smartest dog I had ever seen in my life. I was about 11 when she was hit in the head by a oncoming car while crossing the road. I watched her get hit and I started screaming and ran outside. The man in the truck was going to keep going, but reluctantly stopped. I held my dog while she breathed her last breath. It was extremely hard for me because she was almost my best friend. We decided to bury her where we were going to build our new house. About a year and a half later we had finally built our new house and completely moved in. It was on one of the first nights of staying in our new house that it happened. I was asleep in my room in my bed and I always sleep with the door closed. I don't exactly remember what time it had happened but I think it was around 1:30 AM. It felt like a dog had jumped up and walked around a bit before laying down on my legs. Now I didn't think anything of it because my dad would sometimes open my door and let my dog come and jump on me to wake me up, but I noticed something odd. My door was still closed and it was still dark out. I opened my eyes and noticed that there was a sort of imprint in the bed in the shape of something laying down curled up. I had just woken up from a deep sleep and wasn't awake yet so I went to push my dog off but there was nothing to push off. By that time I was really awake and I went and ran to my parents. Of course, being parents they didn't believe me and told me to go back to sleep. So I did, and that was the last time that had happened. I still today believe that this was my old pet contacting me.

Fast forward to 2009 where my next experience happens. I was at my friends house in his basement just sitting there with another friend while my 2 other friends were upstairs making food. My friend downstairs with me told me he was leaving and proceeded to walk up the stairs. I had heard the door close behind him, which left me alone in my friends basement. I was sitting there on Facebook on my phone, and not a minute went by before I heard a voice. It came from my right, towards the stairs and it had said "Hello?". I said hello back, thinking it was my friend and that he had forgotton something. I looked towards the stairs, thinking I would see my friend there, but there was nothing. I traveled upstairs and asked my friends if either of them had came downstairs. Both of them said no with all seriousness on their faces. I told them what had happened. Both of them have had a lot of paranormal experiences themselves. My one friend, whose house we were at, proceeded to tell me that he isn't surprised, and that his grandfather passed away in the house, and that he has seen him in the attic window that sits about 20 feet off the ground.

My last experience happened at my work. This has happened within the last couple of weeks. I work at a local grocery store as a stock boy, constantly stocking everything. I live in a small town so everyone knows everyone. My dad is a firefighter and is friends with everyone in town, so everyone knows me also. I was filling the dairy cooler and occasionally people will mess with me and act like they are closing me in the cooler and ill just go along with it. Well this happens again and I kinda went along with it, but I didn't hear a response. I go to look and there is nobody around. I asked my boss if he had every heard of anything paranormal in the store and he said yes. He told me about his employee's years ago who were all hanging up front (all being all 3 of them working) and they had heard the bell for the meat counter ding.

I do not know why I have experiences, and I apologize for writing so much. When I write, I kind of get into it ( (: ), but these are my experiences so far, and hopefully not the last. I am not scared of spirits, but am curious. Feel free to comment. (:

RE: All of my personal experiances.
First...welcome to the forum! I found your post very interesting...and it sounds like other experiences I have heard...especially the one about your grandfather. I agree, that's one of those moments that makes you start thinking about the powerful connections human beings have to each other...and that connection doesn't pass when life here ends.

Thank you so much for sharing! Look forward to hearing more from you! If you have any more of them, you should keep a personal journal of them , along with everything else going on at the time. You might find some kind of a pattern when you look at it in writing.

"When you feel like a toad on the highway of life... and everyone seems like a steel-belted radial... when you're lyin' there squished in an assortment of bodily fluids... at least you left your mark." ~Arnie Dogan, "The Red Green Show"

RE: All of my personal experiances.
Thank you for posting your thoughts! I definatly think that there are connections betweet humans that we can't explain.

I do plan on keeping record of my experiences. As soon as I graduate and it's warm I plan on doing a lot more ghost hunting and attempting to connect more with the paranormal. I recently moved again into a small house where and old man passed on and had the basement filled with toy trains and train tracks. I have heard things already and I plan on doing an Evp session, but I don't want to bother him. I hope he can find peace.

This is definatly not the last you have heard from me! (:

RE: All of my personal experiances.
Interesting stories, I believe yer last story could be debunked...doors have a way of closing by themselves, unbalanced, accidently bumped it,etc..
The bell..is it hanging or countertop bell...either way, wind or mice..

anyways, welcome to TP Smile

RE: All of my personal experiances.
Yea I also believe it could possibly be debunked. I have another story to post ,but it is too late tonight and I am on my phone, but it also happened at my work.

The bell is the kind where you press the little button down and it dings. It sits on the counter. Not easily explainable.

RE: All of my personal experiances.
Have you tried debunking the bell yerself?
Test to see if it sticks, and then pop's up making the bell sound?
Mice?

RE: All of my personal experiances.
I think that they got a new bell because someone stole the old one, but I can't see why a little bell would have gone off by itself. I have been working there for about 3 and a half years and I've never seen any mice or any signs that we would have mice. I wish I still had the bell though.

wow the voice would get me to never be alone in that basement again! Had your friend that lived in the house heard voices too? Did it sound like his grandfather?

PurityInDeath- Many thanks for sharing your paranormal experiences. I love hearing other peoples stories.

The story about your Grandad was really sweet. I really believe we can contact our loved ones in time of crisis. I've heard many similar accounts where a loved one has appeared before or during their moments of dying. I believe it happens more than we realise. Do you ever still feel his presence now?
