It may seem like we are traveling outside our bodies and we may even see ourself sitting or laying as we exit our body - but all that is going on inside our own minds. But as I said I do believe that we leave our body when we die, of course, so in some cases of '"near death" experiences I can believe that we actually leave our bodies for a moment, but if we are seperated from our body for very long it becomes permanent - ie death. I do agree with you on that. I believe there is a tremendously huge "world" within our minds which is not limited by space and time as we normally think of it. Perhaps that world is actually connected to the afterlife or even other dimensions??? ~ Questioning the answers is much more important than answering the questions ~

But, with everything else I believe that seems impossible to most people, I do believe it could very well be possible. However, if it is possible, it would be your spirit or soul leaving your body. And, neither of those depend on blood, organs or a brain to exist! If they did, then ghosts would not exist and I know for a fact they're real. Paranormal Q&A |

RE: My Personal Out of Body Experience
Caretaker's experience was an interesting paradox, but i'm still more inclined to say that OBEs are an astral projection of an individual then a consequence of unnatural cognitive processing. The reason for this is that most people whom undergo OBEs often endure thorough, meticulous experiences where they can later confirm the actions of an individual (There was an OBE case where a man saw murder being committed and later testified at court and through DNA testing the suspect on trial was acquitted and the man whom the OBE patient claimed to see was fined and persecuted). Most OBEs also involve the person experiencing light weightlessness, an umbilical cord binding them to the physical body and the ability to see other spirits or even a description of a tunnel of light and flames below them.
The mind, no matter what state it is in, has only shown to perform at 5% (or something like that) of it's peak capacity, never transcending past this threshold, thereby making it unlikely that Caretaker's experience occurred as a consequence of it. Caretaker's experience was perhaps testament to a twilight phase, in-between the transition of a physical plane to spiritual completeness. He was probably tuned into a different 'frequency' or dimension that is somewhere in-between a complete spiritual state and a physical dimension. This can be supported by the weightlessness ( a characteristic of a physical manifestation) and his ability to fly or lift of from the ground (a characteristic of a successful OBE. This compromise of characteristics suggest a twilight phase. So, in general, i think that OBEs don't occur from the mind (cuz let's face it...people's minds are hell not that developed yet) but through some divine procedure. |
