serial killers, are they possessed by demons?
#31
I agree with Scary, many of these killers where born that way, thier brains where already marred in some way. If you read the histories of these killers, most had terrible childhoods, which i would think would carry over into adulthood.

If you are a child of extremem abuse, or already mentally ill in some way, i would think that a negative entity could invade them very easily. If you llive with hate in your heart and soul, it is possible to be demon possesed at some time in your life.

Now, the psycopath has no feeling, no remorse, no emotion, they mirror off other people so they can fit into society, and seem very normal.

There are also people with multiple personality disorders, which can cause them to do all sorts of terrible things.

Anyone who can harm or kill others without a second thought and continue to do so is either very deranged in thier brain or full of negative energy, possibley demonic, or just an evil entity.

That is a very hard question to answer, as im sure the prison system wont be doing anything to help heal these people. I am also sure that the prison system wont be spending money on test subjects.

I remember reading about how some prisoners give thier bodies to science after death. Many serial killers, serial rapist, ECT: had distorted brains with the autopsy reports. Many of them had very distorted frontal and temporal lobes, which affects emotions.

This can be a birth defect, or it could be from a hard hit on the head or brain virus. Serial killers are monsters, any way you see it. Some of us may call these monsters, demons.

I would like to think that this type person is possessed by demons, it would make it a lot easier to blame it on a demon.

Try researching psycopathic killers, its all very grusome, but very informative. [/b]
Pride and Fear always distort the truth into either a false sense of security or a lack of confidence and diminished self-worth.

Not wishing to be disrespectful, but the bottom line is that you make choices. My father was an alcoholic, and he was abusive. But that doesn't mean I have to be that way. I chose not to be like him. The abuse angle is still a cop out, as I see it. They still make the choice to hurt people.
But not to worry friends ! The Gov. has a plan.Down the road, there won't be any elderly , sick, infirmed, disabled, mentally challenged, or unproductive useless people in the world. 3 cheers for the DARLINGS who have come up with the ultimate answer to the world's problems !

RM, the thread is about whether or not serial killers are possessed by demons, not about what the government is doing to us. Feel free to hit the conspiracy section with the government demons, however, good luck exorcising them!

Richard Ramirez, "the Night Stalker" boldly professed his allegiance to Satan when he was on trial. One of the worst of all was Adolfo Constanzo, the cult leader who along with his followers killed and dismembered many victims in the 1980's.

Well, excuse me all the way to Hades. BTW , it's not a conspiracy, I have seen their experiements for it. I was merely suggesting that we may not have to worry about serial killers after a time. Dang ! I did it again. So Sorry for being Off topic Again.

I think it would be extremely rare to have a serial killer that is possessed by a demon.

People are evil. It has nothing to do with demons. I believe they are born with the disposition of having no barriers. Some are unable to tell right from wrong. Others, I believe do it for the thrill. There are documentaries about serial killers ranting about the chase, being one step ahead of the law. It is a sick game they play.

I do not think child abuse causes this type of criminal, unless they already have the tendency to sway the direction of being a killer. I know people that went through horrible, unmentionable childhoods. They are outstanding, productive citizens in society. I think too many people use their childhood raising as an easy excuse. It can be a form of scapegoating.

SG- You mention Richard Ramirez. I do not think he had a demon, but used the 'satan' excuse. I remember the summer he was on his spree. We were all scared. At the time we would all sleep with our windows open due to the heat. I recall my roommates going down and purchasing locks for all the doors and windows. The guys never talked about it around me, but I knew they were concerned for our safety.

The "Freeway Killer" murdered a kid I went to high school with. The kid was in a grocery store parking lot. It was scary that it could happen in our neighborhood. I do not think the murder was possessed, but an evil individual that got some sick pleasure out of the crimes.

Last, I do think it is a conspiracy theory to believe the government has some plan to rid the world of "any elderly, sick, infirmed, disabled, mentally challenged, or unproductive useless people in the world". I am involved in politics. Never once has it been mentioned to rid the area of any people. We provide monies through grants to be able to assist the less fortunate. The number of programs is impressive. It is hard to make a lot of these individuals aware of the programs available to them. Why would the government provide funding/programs, then rid the area of the people? Makes not sense. If the conspiracy was fact, we would only be funding pothole repairs!

It would be the particular job of the moderators here to bring things back on topic. It would be nice if they didn't get an attitude for it in the process.

LK is right. This is getting out of hand. It is NOT a debate...it is NOT a topic about government conspiracies. It is a question asking if we think serial killers are demonically possessed or if we think they are just mentally ill. Everyone on this board is entitled to their own opinion HOWEVER, they are NOT entitled to belittle or be just plain rude.

One more time and this thread goes on lock down. That is my official warning.

Back to the topic at hand now, I find serial killers fascinating. I do not think they are demonically possessed but I do think they suffer from some trigger in the brain that makes them think that these killings are justified

For I would ride with you upon the wind,
Run on the top of the dishevelled tide,
And dance upon the mountains like a flame.

I couldn't answer that. I don't think anyone could for certain. It's a matter of faith and beliefs. I'm not sure if i believe in demons for real but i do believe in evil.
When i wake up everything will be all right...

Amen brother...I think that is something we can all agree on.

Ali, I totally agree with you about Ramirez. I can't even imagine what it must have been like living in the area where he was stalking, and in my opinion, no punishment is severe enough for him.

My beliefs on demons and the way they possess people has changed a lot over this last year, but when I hear it used as a defense for murder it does upset me. I know that people commit murder and are not in their right minds when they do so. Not that they shouldn't be punished, but they should also be medicated and receive treatment while incarcerated...which they do.

But serial killers...that is a whole other mentality. A sociopath (which most serial killers are determined to be) is not someone with a mental illness...it is someone with a severe personality disorder. There is no cure...there is no medication. You can't take a pill and grow a conscience. And you can't blame it on a demon in my opinion.

The answer to why and how people like this come into existence or what motivated them to shut down the growth of their conscience is something that eludes us. But blaming it on a demon will get us no closer to that answer.
