Shadow Creatures

I too had a recent experience with a shadow person. It was about 5am a few months ago and I was in the kitchen getting my breakfast going. I was facing the toaster and looked at the cupboards at my left and saw the shadow of a person cast on them. It looked like the person was standing right behind me! I gasped in surprise and whipped around to see who else was awake in the house. But, there was novdy in the kitchen but me. I tried to recreate what might have done that but couldn't. There was no light source coming from the direction of the house that would cast a shadow that way. In fact, I didn't even have my shadow because of the lack of any light. Also, the "person" was about a head taller than me and nobody in our home is that tall. Later in the day (around 3pm) the sun comes through our sun room and will cause a person's shadow to be cast against the same cupboards, so I tried recreating it and the only way it would work is if I was 3 inches away from the cupboards to make the shadow. The only problem with is that our countertops come out about a foot past the end of the cupboards, meaning I'd have to actually sit on the counter! I've had a few other weird experiences but that's the only shadow person I've ever seen. What do you all think??

Most of them were in a human shape, but now and then you'd get a glimpse out of the corner of your eye of what looked like a dog or cat walking by. At times there was even just very small shadows darting across the walls that you'd think were bugs.

We'd came home from the store one day and when we walked in the door, my son said, Look Mom a shadow creature. I barely seen it dart into the wall, but it had been standing at the coffee table and he said it was looking around on the table.

Where we live now we've seen several of these shadows to. The weird thing is that other people have saw the same exact things we've seen. Several of the people I've had visiting me have seen and described the same things we see all the time.

I have one here that is slightly tall and looks sort of skinny, it's always been seen going from the hallway to the kitchen. I've never seen it going the other way or any other place. It makes me kind of wonder if maybe they somehow get stuck in a certain place and keep repeating the same movements over and over.

We also have a "pet" shadow creature, I'd just started seeing it in maybe the past month. It's about a foot tall or less and for some reason I just know it's a cat, or at least a cat like creature. There will be times I see it several times a day, then it will go for days and I don't see it at all. Then it's running around here several times a day again.

These things, what ever they are don't seem to be scarey, they've never made the hair stand up on the back of my neck like some things have. They do get a little annoying now and then though.

I've often thought they were unformed entities, like the negatives of a film, maybe they lack the energy to fully form? But like you, I have never noticed evil intent. They just seem to move randomly around at times and come in everything from human shapes, to like haze, or small black clouds.

ive got a shadow man who likes to move stuff on my alter, never interacts with me, dont know why he dont.... dont think ill ever find out either

I've been seeing shadow people ever since I could remember. Though it was only usually out of the corner of my eye. Then about 10years ago I moved into a house (was living with my grandma in an apartment) and we have a fireplace in the front living room, two bathrooms, four rooms, a second living room and a garage. There's a lot of paranormal activity around here but its mostly "being watched" feeling, and I've been seeing the shadow people much more frequently here and across the street at the elementary school where one of my younger brothers goes to. The shadow people I usually see are shapeless but solid as they block light out. But there are some that I do see that have shapes like this one time I was taking our cans to the side of the house through the back yard (we collect cans) and I was near the edge of the pavement on the side of the house and I saw something run around the corner of the chimney. And it looked like it had a trench coat on, and being curious I ran after it and there had been no one there not even a neighbour. Then there was this time my boyfriend was walking me home and we have to pass the back of the school to get to my house and I had seen a black cat shape with glowing red eyes, but my boyfriend said he didn't see it.

I've read a few novels written by Dean Koontz. In his books he refers to dark shadow beings as "bodachs." He basically described them exactly the way you do. I'd like to know where this name was first used, and what does it mean.

I'm pretty certain I have come across one. It was during an early investigation and the team decided to use a board. The moment I touched the glass, there was a huge shadow that darted in front of me. It really unnerved me.

I've encountered it one more time since then. I heard a word grunted in my ear as I was falling asleep. Woke up and there it was stood on top of my bed. It jumped off into the darkness and literally felt the bed move as it would have if someone had jumped from it.

I don't know exactly what they are, but they do fill me with a sense of dread.

that would be ill...I wouldnt be able to sleep again.

Yes, I'd love to see that video. As for my experiences with them...

The one on the stairway definitely seems to be some sort of residual haunting, it's the same exact thing over and over. But, that's the only one I've ever seen that has repeated the same steps. I have seen them in broad daylight and at night, I have seen them from bug sized, cat and dog sized, to people shapes from 3 foot tall to 6 or 7 foot tall. I have just caught glimpses of them in my side view and I've seen them head on in front of me.

I have seen them in several different places I've lived for years. I have never got a negative feeling and never had one try to harm anyone. This is one of those types of things that I'd be willing to say a lot more people have seen than they realize. Because, most people do shrug it off to a reflection from something or imagination.

Finally had an experience that I can definitely say that Shadow Creatures exist. Investigated a place called EXPLOSION! A Museum of Naval Firepower in Portsmouth (England). What we thought was going to be a dull investigation turned up lots of activity, whispering names, noises on demand, lots and lots of corner-of-the-eye phenomena. Lots of it made me feel as though this was a hotbed of shadow creatures, just generally because of the phenomena associated with them.

One of the team saw what he described as a black ghost and when interviewing him afterwards, I found out it was pure black, no details and wearing a hat. Sound like a shadow creature to you...I thought so . Our team also had a small "intelligent" conversation with a disembodied voice. Has anyone else heard of shadow creatures having a voice? Or possibly were we dealing with something else?
