Near death experiences, life changing ?
Sponsor Messages I have heard stories of and seen on tv various people who began to be more faithful, loving, courageous, optimistic etc after a near death experience Why do some people go through near death experiences and change not a bit while others are completely transformed ? Looking for some answers as usual ![]() |

Re: Near death experiences, life changing ?
As with any other significant experience different people will react in different ways. As for near deaths I would assume that the more vivid and real the experience feels to the person the more dramatically it will affect their life. I have never experienced anything like this or known anyone who has, but I have read about it as well as seen stuff on TV about it.

Coming that close to actually losing every thing and everyone you have would definitely be a eye opener! Although, if it really is like it's described, then to me it would be standing right in the presence of God and I'd imagine that would make almost anyone change for the better! Paranormal Q&A |

It's funny isn't it. We only really appreciate something, when he have lost it or when we are on the verge of losing it. Whether it be life, love, home or many other things
Just another strange aspect of human behaviour, i guess |

Re: Near death experiences, life changing ?
ive heard of people being sweethearts and then they have a neardeath experience and become complete and total assholes and vise versa, but really its horrible that people dont appreciate what they have until they almost lose it or completly lose it

RE: Near death experiences, life changing ?
Anyways, I found that my outlook on life changed somewhat. I became more openminded and I started getting interested in History, I became facsinated with literature and reading, and that was about the time I started to write. As the experiance stared to sink in, I began to appriciate my household plants more, as odd as that sounds. |

That doesn't sound odd at all....I would appreciate every living thing after an experience like that! And thank you for sharing it here.

RE: Near death experiences, life changing ?
My mother has had many NDE's as she is an epileptic with cerebral paulsy. Her seizures started after a car accident as a child. Her first seizures were intense and there wasn't a very clear understanding of epilepsy in the 1970's so she was misdiagnosed with mental retardation until she had a seizure that caused her heart to stop. She was dead for 30 seconds at least but I wasn't really there so I can't be sure of the actual amount of time. I do know that she actually believes she had a meeting with an angel who told her about me years before I was born, and for that she was changed.
