recently in my room (and, strangely, in my room only), I have heard footsteps and bumps and seen an apparition twice. My computer has tried to open itself several times(this may be the apparition trying to get something across?). I do not know whether it is me trying to see what isn't there, or whether it is actually an apparition. The smell of incense also occurs whenever the strange events happen, a smell I have always associated with my dead grandfather. Can you help me?

You know certain smells attracts spirits. I heard that incense smell is a scent that attracts spirits maybe that's why the smell of incense. Maybe you should get a ouija board or make one yourself and see if you can communicate with whatsever there.. When you get the sense again that the spirit or someone is there you should ask the 'spirit' to knock on your wall to make its presence known. you will then know what your dealing with..

Incense is a rather vague term since there are all kinds of scents.

The fact that it's only in your room makes me believe that it's not supernatural. The walking you hear can be pipes in your floor or wall kicking around. What exactly do you mean by "My computer has tried to open itself several times"? Because, a while back, i had a DVD that would open by itself. It started a couple years after i got it and sent it to a friend to get it fixed. He says it's just old and a manufacturing error. This can very easily happen to any electronic equipment, no matter how old or new it it. Finally, smells can stick around for years. For instance, the smell of cigarette smoke has been noticed to be around 100 years after the smoker has left the location. It just sticks into stuff and never comes out.

oke thanks for all the help! by "my computer tried to open itself", i mean that the clasp on the front pulled forward and then slipped back again, cos its very stiff. It started to open once, but then i freaked and closed it. ill try and video it the next time it happens.
and by incense, I mean the kind that churches use- he was a bell-ringer for a church.[/align]
