dress code for spirit

im a bit boggled on something....

i have noticed that many people who claim to see "girl" spirit children..most of them are seen to have a "white dress" on.......

correct me if im wrong..but it seems a bit odd....does anyone have any thoughts on this ?

some have since pointed out that there are possibilities of in years gone, sick children were dressed in their night clothes which could resemble what we cld perceive as a dress, and often enough buried them in them,or dressed them in baptism clothes after their death..

what are you thoughts on this

Re: dress code for spirit
I think it's sort of like the saying, good guys wear white, bad guys wear black! White is suppose to represent purity, innocence, while black represents bad and evil. I mean think about it, could you imagine one of Satin's angels wearing white? Or one of God's angels dressed in black??
Children - well most children - are innocent and pure, I think that maybe why they're seen dressed in white.

i think that people should be a little less focused on color symbolism it can be misleading

i agree i wear black all the time..day time and night. it doesn't mean i'm a bad person. people just misunderstood what the color suppose to mean in their own point of view. i wear black because i like not because i'm representing evil. you know what i mean.

Re: dress code for spirit
I find that odd too.
I always believed that when you died and lets say you became a ghost that your ghost would wear the clothes that died in. Now lets go back to the children part it could be many things for example maybe the child died in white clothes (Dress since the child is always a little girl with blonde hair in these stories),another thing is when a small child dies they usally burry them in white to show that they are pure also the fact that they didn't get married that is why in most places when a child dies you see them with flowers, beautiful dresses/Suits dressed as they would for a wedding anyway that is what I heard from someone, or maybe they believe the child to be an Angel.

RE: dress code for spirit
I agree with the good=white clothes thing and bad=black. This also has some relations to weddings because the wife to be always wears white while the husband to be wears black.

But who would like to go around in front of other people naked? I don't think the apparations really care what color the "clothes" are that they are wearing.

RE: dress code for spirit
Well, I too wear black quite often as it compliments my colouring, but it doesn't mean i'm evil. However, i'm sure that Haunted didn't mean it like that. If an energy is dark there is good reason to think this is a negative force.

White energy (not clothes) is pure and symbolises purity and reflects light, it is not even a colour. Black on the other hand absorbs light...the draining of a pure source.

RE: dress code for spirit
I still don't understand why ghosts have on clothes anyway. In my way of considering spirits, they are the energy, life force of the person. We come into this world naked, thus a nude spirit, and we leave it the same way. Even if we die with clothes on, we are often redress for our burials/cremation/ etc.
