Hello Hot Tamale. I didn't know anything could stay hot up in frigid Wisconsin.

I had grown up in a haunted house, had many experiences and lots of stuff that confused me for many years.

as for watching the shows on tv, I find many of them just dumb. Ghost hunters, while they pretty much started the modern day ghost hunt, have become stagnant and uninteresting. They keep the cameras on themselves and not on the places they are investigating. then someone says "did you see that!!" the camera man tries to video the area the inspector saw something but always too late. just dumb. the background music is disruptive and the whole newness has run it's course.
ghost hunters also spend 20 minutes in the beginning talking about the place they are going to investigate, they investigate for 20 minutes and then we get to see them going through the footage they captured. what the heck is up with that?
The guy named Rob from the international team just makes me want to punch him in the face. he always looks like he verped and has a bad taste in his mouth. very annoying. he may be a nice guy, just not photogenic enough for the TV.

ghost adventures to me is now the number one show. dont exactly care for the guys, but the fact that they do keep the cameras always pointed in some direction other than themselves. they do talk a lot, but they also have the best footage to date.
ghost cops? eeehhh! the main guy with the cigar is an annoying arrogant kind of guy--(typical cop attitude), but at least they know real from somewhat paranormal. still not the best show on.

ghost lab--junk. their first one they went down south (where they are from) and were at some plantation. they have an evp where is says "colonel" and assume it was from a wartime haunting. They should know that back in the day--all land owners were called colonel, it was a sign of respect and land baron. other than that, they went to the Wahoe club and came upon a speaker that was malfunctioning. they said it was haunted and totally didn't investigate any other part of the place where numerous other ghost shows caught stuff on tape. they are not very good investigators and everything is haunted according to them.

Have i left anything out? am i a skeptic? yes and no. I have had things happen to me so i am positive things exist, however i do believe that many if not most things on the tv shows mentioned are staged and created just for the shows.

Just my 2 cents worth.

hot tamale

Hi and welcome, I feel the same way about these tv shows. But if there isn't anything else on I'll watch them. My favorite is Ghost Adventures.

love and miss you dad

RE: Hello from SE Wisconsin
By the way I did forget to welcome you to the board, I'm still fairly new myself and have found this to be an informative and interesting group of people.

Have you also looked into the "Wisconsin Werewolf" reports that are also native to the SE Wisconsin region?

RE: Hello from SE Wisconsin
Welcome Hot Tamale. Great intro.
I enjoy watching all the 'Ghost shows' because they are entertaining about a subject we are all interested in.
I watch them strictly for entertainment - not factual info.
I think Ghost Adventures is my favorite. It's the only one my wife will watch with me - I think she has a crush on Zak.
The goofy one is Paranormal Cops , but I watch it because I know of all the places they have featured so far.
Looking forward to your posts.
