Are you scared of death?

RE: Are you scared of death?
I do not fear death, or dying. It is part of the natural order of things in this reality. Like the young lady said earlier I don't fear dying, it is living that scares me. Living isn't for the weak or the fearful. I may have lost my wife, but I will always have my children. I instill in them the idea that after their mother and father are no longer here, they will still have each other, and to love each other (for their own good). They are young men in their thirties already. I think I have never addressed this subject with my kids before. It is a good question. Gawp

RE: Are you scared of death?
Well, I died when I was 16. What I got out of it is this. When you die, all the things that you felt were so important, will suddenly seem very silly ! Indeed, you will wonder why you gave it so much thought ! You can do almost anything , except suicide. Suicide is a major No No.

RE: Are you scared of death?
I do not fear death...for I know there is life after and I know where I am going. Smile
I fear for those who do not know where they are going.....or for those who dont believe.

RE: Are you scared of death?
I believe in a spirit world after this life. I am not afraid~
I'm afraid of suffering more in this life, as I feel I have suffered too much as it is>_< no more please.
Death would be welcome in comparison.

It is! I believe in something at least!
There are people who believe in nothing but themselves. Its sad.
The truth isn't always happy. Thats life.
I'm only 20 but I've been through alot of crap people my age can't even relate to~
I'd rather die than go through it all again. . . .=)

RE: Are you scared of death?
Currently no... but perhaps in the moment of death then yes I'll assumedly be afraid of it for several reasons... firstly, the fear of the unknown pertaining to death. Is it simply a cessation of thought or is it a strong spiritually uplifting transition? We can never ever know till it happens...
Secondly, I'd be afraid of any possible pain I may experience in the dying process... like if I saw a train coming straight towards me or had a gun fixed on my temple, I'd be scared of the possible pain or physical impacts.
Thirdly... perhaps the biggest one... the fear of change when death takes place... let's face it, death is the biggest change we'll ever undergo.

Right now my mentality to death is... well.. kinda like starting elementary school or high school for the first time (and no, I wasn't trying to affiliate the pressures of school with the gory, morbid connotations of death lol). It's a completely new experience, but one that will be significant.

My natural affinity with the paranormal and my strong faith have been integral factors defining my perception of death.

I truly believe there is a god... we just won't let him in...

R.I.P Dad Sun Missin you as always
