Sometimes in the past my heart would beat very intensely shaking my entire body, but this has stopped happening. Now I get a pain in my stomach, a terrible feeling that makes you really want to move to avoid it, but you can't.

Have seen shadows, entities, animals etc

Yes

What do you personally believe SP to be ?
I believe it is something that everybody gets to prevent us from sleep walking, but some peoples minds wake up first before it has worn off.

Yes definitely

Do you sleep on your back ? don't usually fall asleep on my back, but sometimes I wake up on my back

Are you aware right away you are experiencing a SP episode ? definitely! There's no doubt when it's occurring, this is a radical departure from normal for me.


How long does it last for ? I can't really tell -- it seems like it goes on for quite a long time, but maybe that's because it scares me so and can't wait for it to end. It's probably actually only a few minutes or so.

Are you prone to this - onset of sleep or during ? Usually moreso when I'm about to wake or have already woke up and kind of dozing back to sleepl

Do you experience any "sensations"..please explain ? Pressure on my chest like I'm being held down, I want to escape this but can't. I virtually feel like my soul is being taken from me and/or that I'm dying.

Do you visually see anything during an episode ? Just out of my peripheral vision I feel more than see someone or something very dark, sinister!

are you aware Audily during SP ? Yes I can hear someone speaking/growling, nothing I can identify as actual words tho. One time I heard the word very clearly, it said "comprende."

What do you personally believe SP to be ? I think it's a spiritual attack, no doubt in my mind!

Do you think there is a connection to SP and the paranormal ? Oh yes, I believe it is evil spirits messing with us.

Have you encountered any para experiences in your life ? Yes several (I'll write more about those elsewhere on the forum) I've had encounters with ghosts, ususual sounds and occurrences.

I can't remember, it's happened so many times, I'm not afraid of it anymore and I try to play around with it.

No. I never have been able to sleep on my back. It happens on my side, it's most scary when I sleep on my stomach, because I can't really see anything but the pillow.

Not really. I believe in a lot of things, but I won't say I know what they are.

Nope.

Yep. It usually happens on the end of a very lucid dream or a dream I don't know is a dream.

A minute at most.

During and ending I'd say. It's usually closer to when I'd be getting up anyway.

Most just the obvious paralysis, not being able to move or speak. I have auditory hallucinations, I guess you could call them. I usually always hear footsteps behind me, even if behind me is a brick wall.

I really have no idea. The thing that gets me is that it happened one time while my ex g/f was watching me sleep. She said my eyes were closed and I just looked normally asleep. Which is weird because I could see her and the room...through my eyelids?

When it asked if I visually see anything, I said no, I assumed it was talking about things that weren't normal. I do seem the normal surroundings, just nothing awkward. For clarification.

Sometimes a disorienting feeling that I'm sleeping on the ceiling and that gravity is trying to pull me off (the couple of times this happened, I awoke to the sound of laughing that faded as I awoke)
