Wiccans and Pagans Respected at Denver Air Force Academy
I was catching up on my Yahoo just a bit ago, and I found this very interesting article about a worship area being designated for Earth based religions at the Denver Air Force Academy.

In reading the article, I found that the superintendent of the Academy is making tolerance of all faiths a priority. So far, there have been no issues about the area...it is open to the public, but should be respected as a religious structure.

I think this is a wonderful step in promoting religious tolerance and acceptance.

Why not, glad you mentioned it,there is a chapel at West Point and the Naval Academy, for all to worship in, so I'm glad it's being done at another military college.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.

Yes, there have been issues. A big wooden cross was chucked down in the middle of the circle. >.>

and so you're back
from outer space
I just walked in to find you here
with that sad look upon your face
I should have changed my stupid lock
I should have made you leave your key
If I had known for just one second
you'd be back to bother me

Go on now go walk out the door
just turn around now
'cause you're not welcome anymore

Thanks for showing me that article. I hope things like this don't continue...because EVERYONE has the right to worship in the way they choose.

I agree with SG. This subject had been a major point of contention between I and my mother. She insists any religion without Jesus is blasphemy. I insist that when Christians try to judge people, force or pound Jesus into you...that maybe they have lost the whole point of Christianity in the first place.

I hope to see more than just religious tolerance someday...a move to religious acceptance would be amazing.

Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, but in high heels and backwards.
