The Sandman

When I was 3yrs. old, I was in the hospital in a body cast. Lights out time came and I wasn't sleepy. The nurse came in and told me that if I didn't go to sleep The Sandman wouldn't come. When I asked who the Sandman was, she told me that he comes and takes you to wondeful places. Being only 3, I believed her and went to sleep !
The Sandman did indeed come ! He floated over my hospital bed and took my little hands and pulled me out of the body. I was free !! We then floated through the hospital wall and we went up into the magnificent midnight blue sky. As we traveled, we encountered other
spirit bodies on their nightly sojourns. We had direct mental contact , so there was no need for words, as we greeted those we met. The Sandman took me to a beautiful white marble Temple. It was huge, and it was illuminated by a source thhat I can't explain. There were other people there, young and old, sitting by their teachers in groups. I sat down by one to listen, but sadly, I can't recall what was being taught. We were all in luminous white gowns that glowed. Soon the Sandman came to me and said it was time to go back. I reluctantly took his hand. We traveled back through that glorious night sky. He took my small hands and lowered me back into my tiny body.
Soon the nurse came in to take temps. I was so excited about what had happened. "The Sandman came ! The Sandman came !" I told her. She ignored me and went about her daily routine. The Sandman never came again. I was so sad, for I had experienced total love and freedom.

RE: The Sandman
Sounds like the nurse planted the seed for your mind to create your special dream.

When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence.

RE: The Sandman
That may be true. However, it was very real. So real, that I have never forgotten it.

RE: The Sandman
And I do believe it was a special dream. I agree with UNR..the seed was certainly planted. Dreams are a complete mystery to me, so I won't try to analyze what any of it meant..but it sounded beautiful, and it must have been incredibly vivid for you to remember it after all this time.

I'm glad you shared it here...it reminds me of stories where I have heard of people astrally projecting.

Me too.

Dreams are where most of our paranormal activity takes place. And since you were so young at the time and not as culturally indoctrinated against such things, it's even more likely that you may have astral projected. The nurse intially planted a seed that made you receptive. Someone "on the other side" sensed your receptiveness and took you for a grand ride. But the nurse's non-reaction to your enthusiasm was a brick in the wall of skepticism. It created a pinhole of doubt so that you were no longer as receptive and couldn't repeat the journey.
