Sleep Paralysis
Good morning. I am very happy to have found Talk Paranormal! I have been drawn to the paranormal since I was a little girl. I have read up on the subject extensively. As a small child, I would play alone in the old graveyard next to my school, rather than play with friends. To this day, I cannot drive past a graveyard without pulling over and walking it.

I surround myself with very old things. Live in an old house filled with antiques. I am from a very old New England town. I have always wished I was back in a different time.

I experienced a few years ago, what I believe might be called sleep paralysis.. I was reading a bit about it last and was relieved to know that I could possibly put a name my experience. It opened my eyes and scared me. I know what I experienced was real and feel comforted to know I am not alone.

Hi! Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself...and you are certainly not alone in your experience. There are several theories and facts about sleep paralysis on here...in my opinion, it's a phenomenon that has more than one answer.

Feel free to look around the forums and enjoy yourself...you're among friends here.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.
