Ouija VS. Internet
OK, just a random thought here. Has anyone besides myself ever noticed the similarities between the Ouija board and the Internet?
With the Ouija board you are never sure who you are talking to and if they are evil. Same goes for the Internet, is this a good person or an evil person? Also IMO Ouija boards are evil and so can the Internet be that way. On the other hand the Internet can also be used for much good. Does this also mean so can an Ouija board? Does anybody have any thoughts on this? If you don't talk to your cat about catnip, who will? |

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
It's an interesting thought for sure! I don't think I've ever heard anyone put that question out there.......I do think that there is POTENTIAL for evil on the internet...as you pointed out, we don't see who we are talking to. However, I think the benefits of the internet outweigh the good...and for me, the jury is still out on Ouija boards and just what they are capable of.
Interesting question! I would like to hear others thoughts on it. "Possession isn't nine-tenths of the law, it's nine-tenths of the problem"...John Lennon ![]() Studies Show That Studies Don't Show The Whole Story |

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
The Internet, in my opinion, is considerably safer than any "board". I've never regreted dealing with the Internet, as I have been with the "board". You don't always know who or what you are dealing with in both cases
The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year. |

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
Very interesting theory gldenminx. Never thought of the similarities.
One difference would be, with the internet, I can choose not to visit sites with bad people, or delete them as friends. With an Ouija, if a bad spirit comes into my home, it would be harder to get rid of. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. RE: Ouija VS. Internet
In my opinion the internet has harmed far more people then an ouija board ever will. If you search internet murders you will find a list of them, the internet is a great place to be something your not and take advantage of those with a weakness. There have been lots of internet related murders, but lets not stop there lets look at all the pedophiles lurking on the internet, how many YOUNG teenagers have been taken advantage of and will pay the price for years. Lets not forget all the internet scams and how many people have been taken advantage of.
So whats more dangerous? A toy? or the Internet. http://www.dangersofinternetdating.com/a...rcrime.htm When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
Thanks, UNR. I'm puking now. I caught my daughter talking on the phone to a 'boy' she met from 'CA' over the internet. I told him I would file harassment charges if he ever contacted my daughter again.
It scared the hell out of me. I never yelled at her before. I screamed at her out of fear. There's children throwing snowballs, instead of throwing heads!

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
That is scary IG. Brit would be in a lot of trouble if she did that. Brit's myspace account stayed private and I knew who the friends were until she was around 15. I have always told her that, people lie. They could say they are 14, but be 45. You do not know. I am glad you caught your daughter.
UNR, you are right. You never know what could happen. That is why you have to use extreme caution on the internet. "You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. " — J W von Goethe |
