Ouija VS. Internet

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
The difference is you can turn your computer off and leave the bad people behind... not always that easy with the board. BUT the internet has a HUGE potential for evil, think of all it's mis-uses, virus infections, opinions on anything and not always good and its highly addictive side. Heck, I only thought I'd stop off here once to show my photos and keep on coming back..... Gawp

Just because you turn your computer off doesn't mean you've left the bad people behind, if you've shared to much personal information, if the person has understanding of the intricate workings of the internet. They may know all they need to know about you. Name, address, phone numbers, its amazing what can be found about people very easily. So if you opened the door on the internet its not that easy to close.

When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence.

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
I suppose that the Ouija Board can be dangerous (whether through evil spirits or the way it plays on our minds and subconscious after.)

The internet is dangerous because we're putting ourselves out there, talking to people we don't know, sharing sometimes personal information....

The main difference is that one is talking to the dead where as we're dealing with possibly evil humans online. Both have the capacity for damage. I guess both could be addictive too!

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
UNR, that's you on the left in that picture, isn't it? Nice.... Wink
Well, y'all don't have to worry about me finding out any of your info. I'm an internet idiot. I just like talking to y'all here.
I told my daughter last night about the info UNR posted. I unnerved her a little, but I'm gonna make sure she reads it.
See y'all in another thread!

RE: Ouija VS. Internet
I met my husband online. I was scared to meet him but we've been married for six years now. Trouble is he looks like the chipendal dancer in the cartoon, lol!

With the Ouija board you are never sure who you are talking to and if they are evil. Same goes for the Internet, is this a good person or an evil person?

Also IMO Ouija boards are evil and so can the Internet be that way.

On the other hand the Internet can also be used for much good. Does this also mean so can an Ouija board?

Does anybody have any thoughts on this?

I'm certain the Internet is not evil. Ouija boards, I've never tried one. Until I found this website, I was tempted to try one. Now, I'll never touch one after what I've read on here.

Some of the stories I sense on this site are fictitious, most are not.

My take on this is all humans strive for knowledge, the unknown. It's in our nature.

Sorry to quote you again. I'd say addiction.

However, My take on this is you're more thn likely to end up in a mental hospital, or even dead - messing with those wooden boards, than spending time posting on message boards and downloading media.
