Angel of death~Demonic or not ?
#21
I thought the Angel of Death or God of Death was a Nephalim and is one of the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse but still helps human souls crossover and is a neutral entity. Not a demon and could defy God or satan at any time if chose to also he would give people long life for a deal with death. Smile

Hopes this helps Smile

I think of angels/daemones sort of like tomato/tomahto. I know that may sound odd, but if you look at the ancient greek daemones, they were benign and replete with wisdom. It wasn't until dualism really took a foothold that they were "demonized." And honestly, the lore about angels is hardly all love and light. They could be downright ruthless. An archangel with a flaming sword is said to have expelled Adam & Eve from paradise for seeking knowledge. The angel of death brought the plagues and killed the first-born sons of Egypt.

Now are these "bad" things? Well, I suppose it would depend on the perspective. I'm not sure what is written about angels and free will, but I do know that these particular actions were supposedly ordered by their creator. Following the orders of their creator would not be "demonic," however, what if one refused to slaughter an innocent? Would you judge that as "good" or "evil" because it goes against the wishes of their creator?

This is all hypothetical to me because I am basically agnostic. That said, I do not dismiss the idea of "paranormal" beings because I have encountered them. Whether they are thoughtforms/egregores/godforms or actual entities that exist in their own right, I can't be certain. I do think that people will project their own beliefs onto whatever phenomena they encounter.

You really found a dead black cat in your pool? If you throw a cat in a pool it can swim out. If you throw a dead cat in a pool it ain't going nowhere. That means someone had to of thrown it in. Someone's ticked off at you.

Angels have no free will, they must do what they are designed for and ordered to do by their nature. Even the ones classified as "fallen" must perform their assigned duties. Death is a natural aspect of life and thus the angels that loose the spirit from the mortal coil are merely performing their function. It is not evil or demonic.

The primary Death Angel according to the hierarchy is Gabriel, who is one of the chief archangels that attend the Throne. There are a great many of the lower order of Angels under "him" which also carry out the function of separating the spirit from the body.

The quickest way for a death angel to become fallen would be to learn free will from the humans and refuse to perform their duty.

If there were angels and they had no free will, then it wouldn't be possible for any of them to rebel against their creator. So there would be no "fallen" angels.

I'd say it was an unfortunate accident. Some animals and people panic when they fall into water. It probably got drawn by the reflection of it. Cats are very curious, and if you've ever had one, they can be very interested in a full bathtub. Of course, if they fall into it, they'll freak out.

Honestly..a sign of nothing but an unfortunate cat, sometimes things just happen.
You walk in the long grass and wonder why you can not see!!

The Angel of Death gets a bad reputation because of his job description.

Remember that crazy Simpson episode where Death broke his ankle and stayed at the Simpsons till he could get back on his feet? Well it was cool at first, people stabbing each other, jumping off building, no one could die. But people with the last stages of cancer couldn't die either, and they wanted to go on. We need Death, he's got a much needed job like any other.

One thing is the Angel of Death, and other thing is Death herself, is our death the one who kills us, the angel only makes her able to do it faster, but without the angel we would die anyway, everything dies, even the angels themselves are gonna die, maybe within billions of years, but that doesn't make them inmortals.
Death is not a spirit, not an angel, she is not the same for all of us, everyone has his own death, following him since before he was born, stalking with patience, always hidden behind the possibilities, fatality is around the corner all the time and every day can be the last. Death is not an entity, she is a reality, an unstoppable countdown running till RIIING!!! Time is over.
