RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
I'm surprised no one thinks the thing on the floor in the second one looks like a jacket dropped onto a pile of something. I think this one was taken in the children's area of the Willard Library so it could easily be a book bag with a kid's jacket dropped on top.
What would you do if you knew nothing about me, yet I said that I'd protect you with my life, then died doing just that and later you discovered I was someone you would've hated had our paths crossed under different circumstances? It's all just one big *facepalm* around here. I heart Sandra Bullock. |

RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
Thank you for posting the pics. Fiona. the second one looks a lot like something i saw recently and have commented about in True ghost tales. The original thread was about a gargoyle type thing. I saw something like that in my garage recently as i walked around the corner of my car.
I would say it was about that size and was grey!!! If it where a vaccum cleaner, why would someone take a pic. of it and call it a ghost?????? I have a few ghost pics myself that are buried away with tons of others.. taken years ago. RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
as bracket and UnR said....the third is pareidolia....the first one...double exposure...the second one is creepy, it looks like a child on his knees playing with a car...you can see the outlines of his arms and legs/knees.

RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
I know this is off topic but it also does kinda fit. Even if they were all fake what would someone have to gain from making a false claim especially when they know it is a false claim. They may be interesting and look really convincing but people who read about ghosts and shadows and what not are not looking for false claims they want the real thing. The more false claims there are the less people will believe in the possibility of paranormal phenomena. People who read about paranormal phenomenon are looking to validate the belief in in. The more false claims I see the less I believe in paranormal phenomenon each time I see a video or picture my believe rises maybe only for a short period of time. I know not everyone is like me and I know I am biased in saying that what I said holds some weight. What do you guys think?

RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
I've become very disillusioned about actually seeing a real ghost photo...but I firmly believe in the paranormal. I don't need pictures to prove it exists...(that's just my opinion).
As far as what someone has to gain...often nothing. Not all pictures presented as paranormal are deliberate fakes. A lot of times it is the wrong camera settings, some type of flash, illusions caused by lighting, double exposures...just to name a few things. The ones that are deliberately faked....some people will do anything to get attention. Even if it is only for a short period of time. "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use."....Galileo We are sorry, but due to the cost of energy the light at the end of the tunnel has now been shut off. In it's place you'll find a hyper kid with a glow stick. |

With many of the pics, we also dont know what the situation was at the time. Where there any sounds, or strange feelings at that moment? I have read with some of the pics. posted, about what was going on at the moment, but no one seems to be interested in that part. I see people looking at the pics., and not paying attention to any of the story that may go along with the pic.. not even reading about the history of the area.... RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
A lot of the time, people "make up" pics like this to get visitors to their websites. After all, if you're running a website to make money, the more visitors you get the more money you can make. And, I can certainly see people posting fake pics to get more traffic to their website. It happens all the time.

RE: Ghost pictures....What do you think?
Ghost pictures, most are explainable if people understood camera settings. The old old ghost pictures you see online are from double exposures, the old time photographers not changing a plate trying to save money and people just forgetting what was in a picture, then six months or longer getting it developed and not remembering what it was they took.
The modern ghost pictures, most are from people not understanding digital camera settings. A long exposure makes people moving become transparent. Wrong settings can allow a shutter stay open as it hasn't gathered enough light, then the shooter moves a camera and strange things (that are explainable) show up in a picture. When we see streaks or glowing objects its a flash reflecting off dust, pollen, moisture and a host of other foreign debris. People fake pictures because they love the attention, are promoting themselves or a team or a web page. Ghosts have never been proven to exist, most are from within a persons own mind. I can create ghosts, orbs, moving shapes, using different cameras and different settings. Once my internet connection is repaired I'll post more. When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |
