The Grieving Baby

Not long after we'd brought my grand-daughter home from the hospital, we'd began hearing a baby crying, it sounded like a newborn baby. Of course, my grand-daughter cried to, but it wasn't always her! Lot's of times we'd hear the crying and me or my daughter one would go to check on her, but she would be sound asleep.
We'd finally started paying closer attention, it didn't sound like her and it wasn't coming from the room she was in. It was actually coming from the bathroom! I'd followed the sound one day, the baby had quit crying just as I stepped into the bathroom.
We couldn't figure out why we were hearing a baby crying in the bathroom! Then one day I was talking to my neighbor, me and her were just talking about the work we were doing on the house and who'd lived there before.
I'd never told her that we'd heard a baby crying in the bathroom, I wasn't sure if she'd believe me or think I was totally crazy. But, as we were talking that day she told me that several years before we'd bought the house the couple living there were expecting a baby.
She said that the lady was about 6 months pregnant and had started having pains and had went to the bathroom, she had gotten to the toilet before she hit the floor and miscarried! She said it was a little girl, which shed even more light on the crying!
To top it off, my daughter had went into labor in her 6th month! It was almost 3 months after the baby was born before we finally got to bring her home! It really made me wonder if my daughter going into labor 3 months early might have been caused somehow by the babies spirit!
We'd never heard the baby crying until we'd brought my grand-daughter home from the hospital. I'd had a baby boy 3 years earlier and we'd never heard the crying then.
I guess since the baby that had died was a girl, bringing my grand-daughter home sort of woke up her little spirit. Seems like having a baby girl living in the house made the spirit grieve for the life she didn't get to have!
At first we'd heard the crying pretty often, almost on a daily basis and sometimes several times a day. Eventually the crying got less and less, but we'd moved out of that house when my grand-daughter was just over a year old, so I don't know how long it would have continued if we'd stayed there!

SPOOKY :o

Interesting to say the least,i have heard of babies cries before, and confirmation of a deceased baby previous, and i dont believe its uncommon.BUT !!

What i find most interesting is if this is connected to the baby who was miscarried in the bathroom.........The connection of the gestation of pregnany of which the babies were born.

I unserstand you thinking the spirit of the baby could have caused your grand-daughter to be born too early (as like she was)..but have you ever considered the following..

A baby was born asleep at 6 months gestation previously
your grandaughter was born 6 months gestation..but survived (thank god)
The crying was only apparant after the arrival home
To me I would be more thinking....

This baby spirit could have been protecting your grandaughter,so not to suffer as she did,and by her cries she was aknowledged and identified as "her"

it could be your lil g.daughter has a very special angel, who wanted to break a possible repetition of the home.

Thats a spooky story. How loud was the crying? That would absoloutly creep me out. How you managed to stay there for an entire year is amazing.

I like angels explanation, maybe your daughter has a gaurdian angel.

Re: The Grieving Baby
Yeah, lots of us love TAPS, but I don't think calling them is a solution to everything. For the question about the sound, it wasn't really loud at all, maybe as if you were downstairs and the baby was upstairs, it sounded farther away than the bathroom.
And, yeah my grand-daughter could have a little guardian angel, BUT that wouldn't explain the fact that the crying baby died after being born at 6 months and then my daughter went into labor at 6 months.
That's just to much to be coincedence! Although, I'm not totally convinced that the 2 has anything to do with each other. I'd just said it was something I'd wondered about, I thought it was strange!

RE: The Grieving Baby
That was sad and most likely it was just that
that your gd woke her up and she seen mothering going on and she is not with her mother and misses her.
Thank you very much.

I hate to hear about children dying at such a young age it is not right at all. I hope that she is at rest by now or will be soon
