This one is strange

I was visiting a fortification in Bonifacio, Corsica. As I was about to ake this picture (for research purposes not at all thinking anything spooky) I felt this chill and thought that the place was haunted. This is the picture that I snapped, I took another picture later and the orb was gone.

Genuine or dust? What do you think?

In case you're wondering what I'm talking about it's the dense white ball at the foot of the dummy...

Once again a speck of dust near your flash in the one picture and not in the second.

Here is an excellent article explaining how orbs show up.

RE: This one is strange
I would agree with you, if it weren't for all the sensarioral things that went on, the sudden chill (it was a hot summer day), the feeling that something walk past me, and the ball seems to be in motion. However I am open to your explanation and have decided to try an experiment, which I'll post again in another thread. A dust speck photo try-out...

RE: This one is strange
Because the second photo has been taken from a slightly different position to the first, any path of light refraction to cause the 'orb' has been eliminated.

Had the two photos been taken from exactly the same position and had the 'orb' had appeared on one photo but not the other, I would be inclined to think that it could be an orb, as it is, I believe it only to be refracted light.

RE: This one is strange
If you hadn't used a flash then you wouldn't have had the orb in your picture. People including camera companies have been studying why orbs show up in pictures and have discovered its actually specks of dust within a few inches of your lens, the flash reflects off the dust giving it the round shape. Your picture is in 2d so the orb just appears further away.

If you can see an orb with your eyes then I might agree its something. But if you get it in a picture its, dust, pollen, moisture. Try this experiment, take a spotlight and go in a room with no lights turn it on and slap the couch (if its cloth) what do you see? Now take a picture. You will have multiple orbs. Now set on the couch for 15 minutes trying not to move around and take another picture, your orbs should be gone or greatly reduced. The only people in the paranormal field hanging on to orbs as spirits are the people desperate to claim paranormal. The rest of us have moved past this with testing.

RE: This one is strange
I do plan on taking a few pictures of dust orbs to see what they will look like. Out of interest, have you seen a picture of an orb that you deem to be genuine? And if yes, could you show me/us what it looked like?
Thanks.

RE: This one is strange
Any orb you can only see by using a camera is explainable.

Now an orb you can see with your own eyes will have to have energy, do we know where this energy comes from? No to an extent, They are thought to be seen more near volcano's and other areas of turbulence within the earth.

Ball lightning can be one round type orb that can be seen with your eyes, but it would be explainable.

I don't have any pictures of energy orbs.

Charlie, that was a cool pic., i will have to go through and look at the rest of them!!! Very interesting that you felt the cold chill at the same time.
