The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
Sponsor Messages Phoenix Lights UFO sightings have been many in number. It seems the Roswell Incident of 1947 sparked everyone’s interest in looking toward the heavens for evidence of life outside the Earth they knew. Most have been one or two witnesses… possibly a few more. In March of 1997 however, numerous people throughout the states of Nevada, Arizona, and possibly New Mexico saw the same thing… strange, inexplicable lights in the sky. These lights seemed to be covering an aircraft of some kind… but it was unlike any aircraft known on this planet. Although it was seen over the span of several cities, the lights hovered longest (around four to five minutes from reports) in the Phoenix, Arizona area and it became known as “The Phoenix Lights Incident”. On March 13, 1997 around the time of 7:30 P.M reports of strange lights in the sky began to trickle in from anxious eyewitnesses… Posted on Mon, 28 Dec 2009 19:11:12 +0000 at http://www.alienufotruth.com/the-phoenix...-incident/ Comments: http://www.alienufotruth.com/the-phoenix.../#comments Don't Shoot Me, I Am Just The Messenger! RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
Flares go up, they may float a little but they soon come down. Witnesses saw these lights over a fairly big area and described them as moving through the sky ~ Questioning the answers is much more important than answering the questions ~

RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
Supposedly they were dropped by aircraft thats why they dont go up...
I remember when I saw that for the first time I freaked out, because I didnt see it as lots of little objects, I see it as one HUGE object with lots of lights! http://www.myspace.com/relicrip |

RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
Haha. The main article uses Fife Symington as a "witness"? What a joke! Hahaha. They do know he was indicted, right?... *eyeroll*
Having lived in Phoenix at the time... I have to say it's all bologna. Where exactly were the lights? There are plenty of radio towers in the Shaw Butte Mountains, the Superstitions, etc... etc... etc... the logical and possible explanations are boundless. Not sure if anyone in this forum is aware that Phoenix is home of Luke AFB... or the fact that Davis-Monthan AFB is in Tucson... and DM-AFB is responsible for all sorts of aircraft and training... google image "boneyard" and you'll see what I mean about aircraft. It's not horribly uncommon for them to fly out in the dead of night or have unscheduled stopovers-- like that blasted time the President visited and kept eastbound and westbound traffic from crossing town. What a bloody disaster that was. I couldn't get home for FOUR bloody hours! The fact of the matter is-- without knowing more details, it would be IMPOSSIBLE to tell what that was. Ex-Governor Symington wouldn't know... at the time of the lights he was too wrapped up with his indictment to really be on top of much of anything at all. |

RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
I lived in Phoenix for +20 years. There are a lot of bizarre effects possibly caused by the heat and dust in the air too. If and when a big dust wall blows into the valley, you can see all sorts of amazing. Those were always my favorites... along with the big monsoon storms that would blow through in the summertime.
Heat causes illusions too... like that day it was 123*F outside... I'm sure about half the city was dehydrated that day! I'm not saying people DIDN'T see "funny" lights. I'm just saying that if they did, there are more things to explain it away than airplanes... and I still think it's funny that article cites Symington as a source of information. Like he'd know... |

RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
I'd probably feel the same way if former governor Blagojevich said he saw a UFO....."Yes he did! It landed in his hair"....(that joke will probably fall flat if you're not from Illinois....)

RE: The Phoenix Lights UFO Incident
(12-28-2009 06:00 PM)The Messenger Wrote: UFO Mystery in the Southwestern U.S. Skies Please check out the following site. http://www.switched.com/2009/06/20/the-6...in-history "The Lubbock Lights" An unusual formation of lights flew over Lubbock, Texas, in 1951. Spotted by three professors from Texas Technical College and later photographed by a student the "ufo' FESTURED 20 AND 30 LIGHTS THAT FLEW OVERHEAD IN A "V" FORMATION. THE SIGHTING WAS SO POPULAR AND HIGHTLY PUBLICIZED THAT THE PHOTOS AND STORY APPEARED IN LIFE MAGAZINE IN 1952. Jeff South was the reporter..., sorry, I don't know which Newspaper it was. Also consider the Whitehouse Incident 1952, this involved fighter jets, not once but twice, sent to pursue several intruders. The UFOs appeared and disappeared off radar not once but twice. Each time the fighter jets were sent on intercept and failed. You should look this up! There is also another incident of a UFO over the Whitehouse in just the last few months. Did this story appear in any newspaper? I found it on the internet. And in very recent memory we have "The Phoenix Lights", as appears at the top of this post. I sense a pattern to say the least. Forgiveness is next to deity. |
