Haunted Locations

Pick about any Civil War battlefield site from Gettysburg, probably thought of the most haunted, included the town, Sharpsburg, the most killed on both sides, give or take several hundred, and so on. I visited many as an reeenactor and had some "odd" experiences with individuals that I wouldn't swear were from this place and time.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.

RE: Haunted Locations
I've noticed that when the history channel does an episode on historically haunted places, civil war battlefields are usually always mentioned somewhere on the list.

I love history and I am fascinated with ghosts and the paranormal so if you were to recommend a civil war site you have been to, which one would you suggest?

In my opinion, here is a good one, Justin...I've referred to it a lot when I've studied Civil War hauntings.

RE: Haunted Locations
Thanks for the link Scarygirl :-). I saw a link on the page for Abu Ghraib...my mission in Iraq was detainee ops at Abu Ghraib II so in a way I am interested in how the prison ran by military personnel is haunted. I've heard all the stories and read all the classified reports but I can't say I am convinced it is really haunted. Maybe I am wrong and that would be interesting but I am going to have to do some research on it.

RE: Haunted Locations
Let us know if you find out anything, Justin...I had been looking for Civil War info on that page...that link about Abu Ghraib completely flew by me! I think you could give us an interesting perspective on that if you are able to find out more.

RE: Haunted Locations
Gettysburg, Sharpsburg, Petersburg, are 3 I'd suggest. Suggest you have time and money if you want to see all 3 back to back.
