I think Heaven is a city about 1200 miles square, having multiple layers, perhaps in the shape of a cube, or pyramid. God rules here. And the angels of God, and all the ressurected saints will travel to and from Earth, going about doing God's business. I think Hell is going to be a place where God's presence will not be felt. No one can build anything there, no water there, rubble and fire and maybe brimstone. The kind of place that will suck the life out of you, only you cant die. It is a place of perpetual night, decay and destruction. And "the worm" never dies..., meaning that rotting flesh will be consumed once and forever more. It is a place of punishment and imprisonment. It is my hope that the "second death" mentioned in the book of Revelations will be the one place where spirits can actually be destroyed..., oblivion is better than eternal torment. |

RE: Heaven & Hell
I was raised to believe in them and who goes where. To me, it's simply an issue of faith and I don't try to comprehend the nature of their creation and who is residing where.
The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year. |

RE: Heaven & Hell
HELL: If when I die if I am so self absorbed, angry, guilty etc that I refuse to go to the light...then I will be in what I don't refer to as hell but it is the closest thing I can think of for your thread. This state of being is where most of our "demons and devils and nasty ghost" stories come from. I can go to the light whenever I want. There is no place of punishment. The otherside is about love.
Heaven: A plane of joyful existence that upon "going to the light" I will enter , aided by my past family and friends and guides, and spend some time looking into a mirror of my life. No judgement from some god. The judgement will come from myself as I see feel and hear what my effect on others was in this past life. I will work. I will continue to learn. I will be able to be with, see and hear those that I left behind and be able to help them with their life lessons on this side. I will live in light and love. I will be able to have anything just the way I want and need. It is about 3 or 4 feet directly in front of us and a couple feet higher than our heads....right now as we sit at these computers. Wage Peace den PS: Vastly poorly described It ends in joy |

To me, hell would be being trapped in the very last moments of your life as you are dying and reliving it again and again...I think this is what happens to so many who have violent deaths and do not realize their body has died. Heaven is everything you have ever loved while you were physically interacting in this dimension and you take it with you in your heart. Which is why being ready mentally and emotionally, at any time, for departure from this dimension so we can better prepared for such an event. Being trapped in the place between this life and the next would have to suck. But, do I think there is some big city "out there, some where in the sky..."? Nope. Do I think there is a burning eternal torment for all the "bad people"...Nope. Do I believe in reincarnation? Absolutely. I think evil returns as evil and good returns as good...the eternal balance. Anyway, just my two pence worth. RE: Heaven & Hell
What about remembering the time they were trapped in and you were involved? Not able to do more than prolong the enevitible. Heavan and hell have nothing to do with it... I'ts what you do with your soul. And IF you believe in reincarnation.... depends on how you believe in it. Is it the tortured soul at ones death that reincarnates... or is it a soul that travels?
