RE: This picture has stumped everyone
I am completely stumped. I do not see a face or figure at all. All I can see is a bag.

RE: This picture has stumped everyone
Well in that case I am completely stumped too...because there was no bag hanging in the kitchen - nothing to hang it on!

It does look like there's a reflection of a cabinet or something in the window on the original photo though. So whatever it is that does look like a ghost could be a reflection of something as well. Actually, since their deck is right outside that window I thought it was the deck rail, but now I am thinking it's the reflection of their living room windows behind me. They have tall windows without curtains, as they live in the woods. But it can't be a cabinet reflection as there aren't any cabinets in the place that would create a reflection like that. |

My mom hangs her dishtowel very low, on a bar attached to the counter. Also I don't see how the kids' pictures could be reflected in the window, when they are facing away from it? If it is a reflection of the pictures of the kids then it can be done so because your camera acts as a mirror. Also, the point about overlapping, over exposed film does happen. Maybe it's a case of both or neither. Either way it's cool to look at. Sucks to be me, (pun intended) |

RE: This picture has stumped everyone
I dont see the face in the smaller pic at all, it's the big pic, that I see the face.
there is no rectangler mouth, not sure who said that, but obviously they arent looking at what I'm talking about. the veil/sheet/hair partialy covers the mouth. "Alone. RE: This picture has stumped everyone
I added this to show how tricky film can be or what happens when it doesn't develope right.
It is only an example, nothing more nothing less. This picture actually has 3 seperate pics in one. There's the day at the races, a pic taken in the laundry room where I had a colauge of pics on the wall, and one of someone at home in Buffalo, NY. ![]() ![]() Again this is nothing more than an example of what I said about poorly exposed film. I am not saying that this is what happened to your photo. Oh, and for some reason I can not enlarge it any better, but it can be copied and saved to view it larger.

pretend that this pic, which I'm fixing to post, is the pic above, now picture this woman looking up and her right side of her face is shown, while the left side is covered by a sheet/veil/whatever.
http://www.worldofstock.com/slides/PMO4862.jpg can you not see the ghost face above, the eyebrow, then the eye, then the partial nostril, then below the partial mouth? "Alone. Yes, that's the key word, the most awful word in the English tongue. Murder doesn't hold a candle to it and hell is only a poor synonym" |

RE: This picture has stumped everyone
Okay, so we've seen a photo of the window-- but what's behind the photographer? At this point, we can only guess at what's behind the photographer...
Therefore, we can neither rule out what is in the photograph nor can we safely confirm that the object in question is a ghost and is NOT a reflection in the glass. More information about the surroundings are necessary because, when windows are involved in picture taking, there will ALWAYS be a reflection of some sort-- especially if a flash is involved. In order to rule out the possibility of the object in question being a reflection we'd need more information. ... I'd suggest daytime photos, so no flash is necessary. Also, re-take the sink photo during the day. |
