My Ghost Stories
Sponsor Messages and told my brother to get rid of the cards. They went out to the middle of the driveway, me being the snoop, followed them out there. My brother tried to light the cards on fire, but they wouldnt burn. Just then my Father came out on the porch and told me I had to come in.As I was walking back down the driveway, something caught the corner of my right eye, when I turned to see what it was. I saw a white woman figure standing in this group of trees, I stood motionless, too petrified to walk. She slowly came through the trees, not around the trees, but through them.I screamed bloody murder and ran for the porch. My brother and his friends came to check on me, as I told my dad what I saw.He asked my brother if they saw anything or if they were playing a trick on me.Jim(brother) told dad, that they didnt see anything, and he also said they werent playing a trick on me either. Which, I knew that, because they were on the driveway behind me, not to the right, where the group of trees were. So my father went out and looked around, but didnt find anything. He chalked it up as my imagination. 7 years later, I saw the White Lady again in the same spot as I did when I was 13 years old, this time I did not run away.I walked straight towards her, but she simply vanished by the time I got to the trees. I never saw her again, but have witnessed other strange things. "The Blue Man" Me and some friends always gathered together to play "Wargames" in my buddies woods, there would be about 10-15 of us. On many occasions we spotted or shot the upper torso of a solid blue man, I was the first to see him. I shot him, and replied" Youre dead David!", and to my surprise I hear from the other side of the woods" I dont know how you shot me, cause I'm no where close to you." It was David calling back to me, so I quickly glanced back over to where I shot the person, and there was no one there. I told the others about it, and they laughed at me, and asked my what I was smoking. It didnt take long after that encounter for them to start believing me, several of them witnessed the same Blue man, they either saw him or shot him. I told my folks about it and they said it was Mass Hallucination/power of suggestion. I dunno what or who it was, but we all saw something in those woods. |

RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
Did you ever find out if there was any history to the land or the house that may have left some kind of residual effect? I do believe in ghosts, and I have found that doing research on the property can help in finding clues as to their possible nature.
I have a friend who reads Tarot cards...never for money, she only reads them when she feels compelled to. She told me once that it is very important that a Tarot deck be blessed as to keep them from being a portal of sorts. I'm not sure if I believe that or not....and I'm not saying the Tarot deck had anything to do with seeing the lady. It is strange that the deck wouldn't burn...... RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
So being a dumb youthful teenager, I decided to look for them with 3 of my friends and our guinea pig(my Nephew). I had an old store bought Quija board and placed a candle in the center of the board, and lit it. We made Mike(nephew) carry the board down the driveway, I said if the candle goes out, that's where the cards are. I wasnt really being serious, we just like to torture Mike. It was kinda windy that night, so Mike had to keep his hand close to the candle, and not let the wind blow it out. When he passed through this one area, the candle went out, as came out of that area the candle flickered back to life. It was real creepy, and he kept on complaining, but we forced him to continue, I wanted to be sure that it wasnt the wind. We made him do this several times, the light would go out and come back on whenever he passed over that one area. We couldnt dig it up, because it was paved after a few years after they were buried. As for the land, my Father bought from a Native-American who owned it. There used to be an old homestead in the woods, but it's just the remains that are left of it. There is also another old homestead not far away,on neighbor's land, that's supposed to be old like 1890s |

RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
I am fascinated by ruins of things...old buildings, castles, etc....there is something so haunting about them, with or without ghosts.
I do think some things are better left alone...and I'm not fond of the Ouija board personally...had a bit of a shakeup with one when I was young and never wanted to take a chance again. That's just my POV on it. But it does sound possible that this place had a history that may have left a bit of its essence behind. RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
Close to sundown, we came back from the lake, we grabbed the tape recorder and I rewound it. We all gathered around the player and listened, but all we heard was static noise. We listened for like 20-25 minutes, and still just static, my friends said it was a waste of time, and they were ready to leave, and go do something else. As soon as I went to shut it off, we heard laughter, little kids laughter on the tape, we froze, and goosebumps went all over my body. I stopped the player and rewinded it, and hit play, we heard the laughter again. I showed my parents when they came back from their vacation, however as most parents, they chalked it up to kids in the neighborhood playing, and somehow their voices traveled through the chimney. Okay, yeh, sure that might have happened, but we tried it(my friends), and it didnt work for us, so who knows what it was. |

RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
My Grandmother used to tell me stories of Ghost and Haunts, she was a firm believer in them.
I remember one story she told me, I've never forgot it. One of her first homes she lived in was haunted, the old house that Grandpa bought real cheap. She said, she would get up early in the morning around 4:30am, to prepare Grandpa's breakfast. There was no electricity in the house, they used kerosine lamps and candles. When she went into the kitchen, the lamp went out, no breeze, no wind, it just went out. She went back into the living room to light it, where she left the matches on the table, and the lamp came on. So she went back into the kitchen, thinking that it was indeed the wind, and the lamp went out again. Back into the living room, and the lamp flickered to life. This really spooked her, she never found out why it did that, and she said other strange things happened. Well the day my Grandma and Grandpa moved out, Grandpa told her a secret, he told her why they got the house so cheap. The former owner hung himself in the back bedroom,Grandma was upset that Grandpa didnt tell her this before, but he said that he didnt want to worry her, cause he knew she'd be scared and wouldnt want to move in there in the first place. Was it a Spirit that kept puting the lamp out? Did the former owner haunt the old home? |

RE: The White Lady and the Blue Man
I do think some spirits stay where they felt connected to in life....a suicide leaves so much unanswered, and I could see where a spirit would be stuck in the place where they had been driven to make such a sad choice.
With the laughter, I don't know....I don't think it traveled through the chimney! Thanks for sharing these. I have had a lot of experiences I didn't understand...still don't, to be honest. I enjoy trying to figure it all out though! RE: My Ghost Stories
Them being skeptics, just shrugged it off, me though, I think Grandma was letting us know that she was missing us and loved us, and is at peace. There used to be a brick house next door, the original owner hung himself while on Vacation in California. So the house was empty for a long time, occasionally people would move in and later move out. There were yer typical rednecks,Biker Cultists, and regular folks, but they never stayed too long there. It fianlly became a local hangout for parties and other stuff, me and some friends turned it into our "clubhouse" We would go there to drink or smoke, and try to scare each other by sitting in the dark, and say stuff like" Did ya hear that?" or "Did you guys see that?", we never really saw anything spooky down there. One night, it was just four of us, me,Mike(nephew),Scott, and Brad(best friends) hanging out, being bored, we decided to go back to Scott's house to watch a movie. Me and Mike left first to go up to the house(my home next door) to get some soda, that left Scott and Brad by theirselves. When me and mike came out, we saw a Lantern swinging rapidly coming fast right at us, it was Scott and Brad, and they were terrified and white as ghosts, they told us that something big and black chased them from the side of the empty house. Scott said he turned to see what it was, but couldnt see any shape, except for solid blackness, of course me and Mike laughed at them, and teased them that it was probally just a dog. They swore up and down, that it was no dog that chased them, who knows what it was, I sure dont. I wonder if it was some type of Shadow creature? |

RE: My Ghost Stories
I have enjoyed reading of your experiences and it just goes to show there is much which has no explanation. Just except it, if you believe.
BTW, I too so enjoy stopping at old run down house and taking photos. The last house my sister and I stopped at, gave me such chills just being in there and I had the feeling we were being watched. I took some photos and some of pictures were blurred, out of focus but it could have been me.
