The Most Horror Movie You Have Seen Till Now ?
#21
I do so agree. I can watched it now without the same apprehension but it stills troubles me.

Some of these sound really good, maybe me and hubby will have a movie night tonight- saving so I can come back and read off the list to him Smile

The Exorcist still gives me chills. Probably the best horror flick ever made.

I have to agree with The Exorcist. I made fun of it as a kid, but Pazuzu scares the crap outta me now.

Ugh!
Hm, other movies that make me uneasy are: The Exorcism of Emily Rose, The Fourth Kind...I am drawing a blank. I love horror movies, and gory movies, so I have seen TONS, but not a lot of them really leave me wanting to sleep with the lights on.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose troubled me a some as well. Especially the part where her boyfriend wakes up and finds her on the floor, staring at him all contorted. Freaky!

And the part in the barn where she names off demons. I think they chose the perfect actress to play Emily, so that helped make it creepy, too.

Yeah! If you get a chance then watch the "Extras" ın the menu. The director talks about the film. Pretty cool stuff actually.

But I have to say the movie that scared me the most, especially the first time I saw it was "Evil Dead" There was just something about the way it never showed exactly what this demonic thing was..........but you knew it was big and it was MAD! That, and the horrible mechanical way the people talked when they were possessed by this thing.

I remember being sufficiently freaked out by the card scene. The first person got possessed and started writhing around against the door. It was a classic moment.

Now I see it and I've grown immune. I can't really look at the Exorcist or the Evil Dead as anything more than a comedy. I find myself wondering if they actually used oatmeal for the "melting demon" scene. I still think the "tree rape" scene is effective, but mostly because it's just so disgusting. The remake wasn't scary at all. It was just gore for gore's sake. It's ok if that's what people want, but I was hoping for some suspense.

The only thing that still makes me look away is the bit with the crucifix, and again, because it's just so disgusting.

They were really daring to include it in the film at that time. I can understand why. It was truly effective, and the movie probably wouldn't have been the same without. Still...ick.
