RE: Superstitions and Old Wives Tales
Darn I miss that thanks button! I'm always reaching for it when I see Shastar's posts!

You light up my day, Shastar.....you always make me laugh, and I know I'm not the only one that thinks that.

RE: Superstitions and Old Wives Tales
They are fun to read aand how they got started but adhering to some will make one look petty odd in public, though I do look odd I imagine trying to avoid not walking under a ladder, not to mention filling a zombie's mouth with salt and sewing it closed to keep it from roaming about.

The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year.

Wonder if the tales come from "old wives"? Sorry but my gf got talking about it after she spilled salt and then gather up some and threw it over her shoulder and dared me to make light of what she had just done.

I would imagine you wisely declined to do so....................

With her, I consider anything I do that might rattle her cage. She happens to be in law enforcement and has a short fuse when her behavior and feminity are addressed. Don't dare reminder her she's 5'10".
