Does Jesus/Yahweh love us or is he stalking us?

Does Jesus/Yahweh love us or is he stalking us?

Love without reciprocity, works and deeds, according to scriptures and Jesus’ own words, not that a supernatural Jesus ever existed, is not a true love.

All you need to do, to know the truth of that notion; is to look at your own standards of love. You would not love someone who does not return that love, as that is more a stalkers kind of love.

Some Christians and other believers will not see that. Most who are not led by faith, generally accept the truth stated above.

This link, in its message, gives about the same notion.

Hey yo, Gnosty!  I’ve missed you!

I’ll try to be brief, as I know one of my flaws is verbosity…  Icontexto-emoticons-06-032x032

It’s entirely possible to love someone who doesn’t reciprocate without being a stalker.  Don’t confuse love with obsession.

Jesus and ‘Yahweh’ are not the same thing.  They are different aspects of divinity.  Brush up on the Holy Trinity.

It’s YHWH.  Sorry, but friends sometimes have to tell each other hard truths and when you insert those vowels, you sound like a goof  Icontexto-emoticons-04-032x032

Jesus went after institutions, not individuals.  Hence, not a stalker.  More a rebel.

Kudos on the word ‘some’ in front of Christian.  I know yr a smart guy and I appreciate the effort to be considerate.

Supernatural Jesus?  The guy was a freaking carpenter for most of his adult life.  Christ is the human aspect of divinity.

Finally… I’m pretty sure you don’t much like me, but I continue to respond to yr posts and do so with respect, even though you frequently treat me with disdain.  If that’s not ‘showing the love’ without reciprocity…  what is?  Blueud

I see why. The board is dead thanks to the quality of the apologetics. Too right wing to draw the intelligent ones. That is why I do not do much here.

I do not.
As to your first sentence. Simply said, love is something you send out to another but if not reflected back, it is never a completed love. You cannot have true love alone. Love to be real love takes two.

If you think the love you are giving to one who despises you returns the same good emotions in you that a returned love does, I think you have not thought this out well at all.

I have, and it is a ridiculous notion. That idiocy is explained in this link.

Yahweh, however you want to spell it, depicts the Jewish androgynous god that Christianity has basically rejected for their all male war god. You might wonder why Christianity took the feminine out of the Jewish god when Christianity  usurped it and reversed much of the Jewish morals to their stories.
Thast would include reversing the Eden myth from being where man was elevated and showed a success for both man and god in Eden to making both man and god into losers and adding in Original Sin which was not in the Jewish myth.

I can agree with this but would point out that institutions are gotten to by people who are in them.

Thanks.

Quote:Supernatural Jesus?  The guy was a freaking carpenter for most of his adult life.  Christ is the human aspect of divinity.

If true, then he did a piss poor job given that many of his moral tenets are not moral at all.
The worst examples of this are his no divorce for women and his substitutional punishment policies.

The disdain you see is what I call tough love based on this quote which I live by.

Proverbs 3:12 For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

Correction is often hard to take and that is why I call it tough love.

You really don’t get it, do you?

I don’t respond to yr posts because I’m lonely. I respond… when no one else will… because I fear you might be lonely or lost.  You might have no one to speak to on religious topics.  I’m offering a hand, in friendship.

That may sound harsh but it was necessary.  As is this...

Please stop being a ‘whiny little b...’

I’m not judging, I’m listening.  There is a difference.

We can talk about these things. People of different opinions can be friends.

Just… don’t sink to the level of insulting me again.  I will smack you down.  Hard.   'Tough love' doesn't have to be mean.  All I ask for is respect.
