theres a supposive serial killer in the philliphines!
his victoms all have had the same death. he suppsivly sucks there blood then leaves them to bleed to death.
One survivor describes him to have dark red eyes.
Amazingly the lucky survivor had a small ammount of venom in his blood stream and still survived. But he said that he had been bitten by a small snake earlier.
yes it sounds impossible but still seems cool

I'd like to find a link to any kind of information about it....do you remember where you heard about it?

It could be a psychopath with a syndrome and thinks he's a vampire and does kill and drink the blood. Only he's very much human with no special abilities.

It would be an interesting story to explore....if it isn't what Bracket suggested and an urban legend. I do know there are people who believe they are vampires....and someone who believed that who had a psychopathic personality would take it to that degree.

You can read about some of the Philippines monsters here. Its interesting to say the least ..... The Aswang, they are female and appear as an ugly old woman with long, unkempt hair, blood-shot eyes, long nails, and a long, black tongue. She has holes in her armpits which contain oil. This gives her power of flight.

Another type of Aswang is the kikik, which transforms into a huge bird/bat at night and prowls. The kikik looks for a sleeping pregnant woman. When it has found one, it extends a very long proboscis into the womb and kills the fetus by draining its blood. It is said that while this is taking place, a 'kik-kik-kik' sound is often heard.

And my favorite named one WAK WAK The legends of the wak-wak and kikik are much the same, but the wak-wak is specifically supposed to change into its birdlike form by leaving behind its lower body, much like the Manananggal, another Philippine vampire. The cry of a night bird which makes a "wuk-wuk-wuk" sound is believed to be the call of this monster and is feared by superstitious villagers.

This one had me laughing reading the description. Sigbin is a creature is said to come out at night to suck the blood of victims from their shadows. The creature walks backward with its head lowered between its hind legs. It resembles a hornless goat, emits a very nauseating smell and possess a pair of very large ears which are capable of clapping like a pair of hands

Black tongues, oily armpits, nauseating smells.......don't think I'll be vacationing in the Phillipines anytime soon....sounds kinda gross.

Thanks for the link to the stories, UNR.

Many of those creatures are in the Vampire Compendium.
