Hi,
I'm not sure where to start with this. I’m a single mom of two girls. I have always had paranormal experiences since I was about 12 years old and suffer from a rare form of anxiety that I am told is a result of a traumatic event that happened to me when I was 12. I have not been able to remember the event because it is locked away to me but I do know it has something to do with my grandfather. I’m not so concerned with myself because I have been able to battle things that happen to me but my oldest daughter cannot. I try but I don’t even know how to really help her. Ever since my grandmother past away my daughter and I have been tormented by paranormal things. First event was she was getting ready for school in the bathroom and the lights started flashing the moment she heard a woman screaming in her ear but no one was there and my other daughter who was in the next room didn’t experience anything. I too have had a similar instance when I was in the basement feeding the dog, everyone else was up watching tv in the living room when out of the blue I heard a woman screaming and calling my name but again no one there, I went upstairs shaken and asked who was calling me and screaming...no one else heard it. A few nights after I had a dream that I was in the kitchen when I heard knocking at the garage entrance, I turned to see who it was and it was my grandmother. I knew immediately in the dream she wanted in and needed to be in the house so I moved to get to the door but I couldn't. It was like something was keeping me from letting her in. No matter how loud and urgently she knock and tried the door she couldn't get in and I couldn't get away from whatever was holding me, I woke shaking and bawling my eyes out that I couldn't get to her. I still cry when I remember the dream!
A couple of weeks later we moved my daughter up into my grand mothers old room, immediately she started seeing a shadowy figure in one specific corner of the room, she was very uncomfortable in the room but always felt she needed to be in the room, as well as became very lethargic and withdrawn when in the room for a long period of time. She also experienced dreams of someone's hands wrapping around her ankles and dragging her off her bed. She would wake from these dreams with her body halfway down the bed and legs off the bottom. She started becoming anxious and depressed. One night it terrified her so much she ran from the room and felt as if she was being chased to my room, it was the last time she ever came into that room without me. I immediately went down to the room to face whatever it was, I walked right into the dark room and in the strongest most dominate voice I could told it to leave her alone that she was mine and will always be mine. After that I took charge of the room and moved into it which seemed to help her but not me. My experiences in the room where more physical, more sexual in nature. There were nights I felt like something was having me over and over again and I couldn’t escape it. I could feel everything as if a real man was there. One night it was so sexually aggressive that I actually felt the lower half of my body being held up off the bed. By the time it had finished I was in tears.
Also my youngest had come down to sleep with me another night we were watching a movie, she swore she saw something crawling on all fours up beside her side of the bed and under it, she was terrified to get off the bed that night. I hated that room! We have since moved from the house to a new one but my daughter still has nightmares of a man that follows me around the house almost chasing me. And I feel like I am always being watched and touched. She hears a woman humming in the basement and people whispering to her but she can't understand what they are saying to her. I went just before Christmas to see a psychic for the first time and when we play back the recording of my sitting, every time the psychic mentions myself or my daughter you can hear this kind of weird noise like a long angry yell down a tunnel or corridor. Also, every night now my daughter experiences either sleep paralysis or a recurring nightmare of an old decrepit woman reaching down from kind of above and over her head, this claw-like decrepit hand taps in the motion of the cross on her forehead, it taps out each point of the cross over and over again. My daughter can actually describe it in great detail to me the features of this woman as well as what she is wearing. And all the dreams have some flash back to the house.

Has anyone else had similar encounters? Can anyone help?

Just to make it a bit easier for people with Dark Theme, here's the post without having to highlight and hurt your eyes:

Truth is, if anybody is going to recommend anything to you, it'll be some sort of cleansing ritual. The problem with run-of-the-mill cleansing rituals is that they aren't necessarily effective against the more potent and strong-willed things that can haunt our houses and lives. Before you can reduce anything to a form weak enough to dispel, you need to be able to face the issues that it is manipulating.

My recommendation, go to therapy. Figure out what those traumatic moments are and how to deal with them. Don't mention any of these things, as that could detract from the real issues that are being taken advantage of. After you are able to deal with the ammunition and anxieties that these beings could be using (for both you and your daughter), it should be a lot easier to dispel such things, if they are even there to dispel any longer.

One thing that I've noticed, through past experience, is that those who have more fluctuating personalities/emotions/anxiety tend to attract these things more often. Many times, people will misdiagnose the truth, saying that it's because they are hypersensitive or something. In reality, it's because beings (whether made of energy or something else) are attracted to places where things are more lively. If they can then manipulate the residents to get more out of them, they will. You need to deal with the plank in your eye, before you can deal with the speck that is bothering everyone else's.
