Gnosis Of The Modern Age
#21
You know what, Ascension. Read into it how you will, but I never once attacked Gnosticism on the basis of being New Age. I attacked it on the basis of it being a sub-par irrational cult.

Instictive logic isn't a thing. It's an oximoron. It's like "dry water" or "closer apart". Good and evil do not exist, they are subjective creations of the individual. An individual's values then get averaged, when entering the public sphere.

The rest of your wall of text paragraph is useless to logic, once you've attacked the points expressed above.

As for the last paragraph, you couldn't pay me to touch it with a 20-foot pole. There is enough there for a psychologist to unpack for the next 5 years of sessions. Good luck with that.

If my perceptions are useless to logic, what makes yours useful

You misunderstand me. When I said that the rest of your wall of text is useless to logic, I meant that it was beyond consideration, because they are claims based on the two things listed above.
Perceptions are important to logic, in limited ways. Empirically, they are useful. Conceptually, they can be toxic.

Regardless, when you link perception to a made-up concept and then try to solidify the whole argument with the assumption of good and evil, and corrupting effects, you ultimately undermine the entire paragraph.

What exactly do you find irrational in Gnostic Christianity?

Read all of my previous posts again. For that matter, read them many times until they make sense. That's what I did throughout university, to better myself and develop my reason. Smile

If I have to, you have failed.

I don't consider it a failure, Gnostic. I'd have to care to change your mind, in order to succeed. My goal is to make your concepts and reason look foolish, as you've been extremely belligerent in your treatment of Christianity. If you aren't intelligent enough to add 2 and 2 to get 4, there are plenty who can. Perhaps my posts are for them? Because I knew a few colleagues I've shown this to, who have enjoyed our back and forth to no end. xD
