RE: Do Ghosts Really Exist?
I think everyone here has to have some belief in the paranormal or they wouldn't be here, including me. I have experienced two separate things, one was a door handle shaking violently, I opened it and no one was there. Do I have an explanation? No
The other thing that happened was children laughing and playing at like 3:00 am I got up and actually went outside to look for them. I came back in the house and it started again. Do I know where the voices came from? No The unknown is what attracts people to investigate and research. Now I will add I think most claims are explainable. Its the small percent without answers that keeps us looking. So would I call what I experienced ghosts? No I would call it paranormal for now. When investigating paranormal don't rely on assumptions, base your decisions on evidence. |

However,I am not saying I saw Bigfoot, but many here have said they have seen ghosts, all I ask is, show me. "Alone. Yes, that's the key word, the most awful word in the English tongue. RE: Do Ghosts Really Exist?
I have personally encountered "ghosts" myself. I have also had a lot of other strange experiences that made me wonder, but there were two different experiences I had that proved to me without any shadow of a doubt at all that ghosts are real. Can I prove that to anyone else? No, I cannot.

You could also try a fantasy suggestion:
Why don't you try this with your dream woman then if suggestion works so well. Try someone like say, Sophia Loren, or Catherine Zeta Jones and see if she appears before the night is up? RE: Do Ghosts Really Exist?
haven't changed my mind sinc emy comment in Nov. 09. Of course they do, despite the bad form shown on reality tv that tries to find them. They are out during the day, been to a local cemetery during your lunch break lately and seen folks just reading the headstones, curious way to spend your lunch but folks do it, assuming all are made of flesh and blood. Easier to relax if one thinks who they see are all alive, doesn't it? Whether it's a 1 room shack or a castle in Europe, if you get "lucky", you might find one or one might find you.
The notion of picking one time of the year to be decent to other people is obscene because it's actually validating the notion of being miserable wretches the rest of the year. |

RE: Do Ghosts Really Exist?
During my investigations I try and research where we are going. There has been one or two times when someone said "Person died here" but my research using the library and local newspaper says nothing.
When I have others listen to EVP I don't tell them what I heard, its amazing when you see this on tv and they're blurting out "I heard X I heard X" and then all of a sudden everyone in the room can hear the same thing. During our EVP sessions my wife and I had its amazing how differently we hear EVPs. Or, even when people bring psychics on shows how the standard disclaimer is "we told them nothing about this place" but then they go around saying, with a very important subject, 'How does this CHAIR make you feel?' and of course the person or something tragic happened on or near the chair. They should have some placebo type objects like 'Tell me about this clothes hamper' where nothing happened because it wasn't even there. I am open to the possibility but do require quantative evidence to prove so. |
