VIRGIN MARY EVIL
#1
Exclamation
This might not sound it but was the scariest dream that I ever had. I had a dream that I was looking at a post card of what seemed to be a holy land. The picture was of a lake with cliffs and mother Mary standing at the top of the cliff. Then I was looking through a telescope at the land and when I looked up to where Mary was there was like a demon just something all black in a black cloak that put its arms out and I jumped up panicking! Has anyone ever experienced a negative dream of Mary like this? Do you think it has any meaning?

By the bibles account all women are evil and carry the responsibility of the first sin. Maybe you were reading weird passages or had something happen in recent days and your brain put it together. When we sleep our brains shuffle out the things that have bothered us into dreams so it can be "finished".

No I hadn't read anything like that.
If the bible states all women are evil why do we look at is as holy? Why should women believe in something that has a negative view of them?

I don't really have the energy this morning to argue with that website point by point. Let me just note that most of those Bible quotes were specific directions given to a specific group of people. The quotes from Paul were also specific advice sent to the church in Corinth and probably addressed specific problems they were having.

Believer: Black cats are bad luck.
Non-believer: It's just a cat.

The point is though they were given to "specific" people that is not how the church used them which was past those "specific" points. I like you dark, but there is nothing you can say that will ever make me think the atrocities commited against women in the bible were ok because they were just for "specific" people.
Thats like making the statement rape is ok for "specific" people.

If the church was using them to justify crimes against someone they weren't applying them to those specific people to whom the scripture was addressed. For example, Moses telling the Israelites in the desert to burn a witch is not the same as people in Salem torturing witches hundreds of years later. I can't and am not trying to justify the Bible being used out of context in another time or place. And recording a historical event, such as a woman being gang raped, is not a command for women to be tortured in place of men. Anyone that would advocate that is just sick.

This is definitely a nightmare because of your reaction to the dream. In religious context (if you're religious) it means a good dream you were having (The Holy Land and Mary - May Peace be upon her) was invaded by the adversary who wanted your reaction to the black something in a black coat. Fear leads away from the Holy. If you fear God then you have nothing to worry about - God would never want you to experience fear.
