This One Dream I Had

Ok I've only had this dream once. So in my dream it felt like I sat up in bed look out into the hallway and started walking toward the staircase, when I got to the staircase I looked back into my bedroom and saw myself sleeping in bed, then I looked down on myself and noticed there were two of me...so anyways I'm at the top of the stairs and it feels like it's sucking me in, I look down the stairs to notice they are spiral with an neverending bottom, it tried sucking me in again I got scared ran to my bedroom, seeing myself sleeping in bed jump in and woke up. But I felt something enter my body and it startled me then woke up. This happened to me in my late teen years. What was that all about?

It sounds like either a lucid dream (one where you are aware it is a dream while you are in it) or possibly an astral travel experience. Have you ever gotten into reading about astral travel? Or been interested in it?

It is pretty much liked you dreamt it. No hidden symbols, it was a good bye.

RE: This One Dream I Had
You know what that is not the answer to this dream. I am in the wrong thread. I thought I was replying to the dream about the death of a grandmother and then they learned she had died two days before.

I will get back to you on this one. So sorry. I will reply to the other dream with the above answer. But wasn't that you also?

RE: This One Dream I Had
It almost sounds more to me like a lucid dream rather than astral travel. In my opinion anyway, it seems as though astral travel is not something you do by accident. I believe dreams do have meaning, although I don't claim to know what it is. I know that we dream several times a night and usually only remember the last few minutes of each dream. That's why a lot of times when we're remembering them the next day, they don't make sense........because they're all run together.

In a lucid dream (where you're aware it's a dream while it's happening) or a recurring dream (the same dream over and over) I believe there is a deeper meaning. We have several experiences of lucid dreaming in one of the sections on the home page. You should see if any of those experiences are similar to yours.

As far as what it meant, I can interpret it this way.....in your teen years, maybe you felt like you were getting sucked in to something you knew would harm you. A bad crowd maybe, or an unhealthy relationship. I don't want to presume, but can you think of anything at that time that it would have possibly meant?

Okay, you are two. You are being torn between objects/decisions/people. One way leads to death/ damnation/evil, or whatever lies at the bottom of the stairs. The stairs are going down, not good. But, you resisted and saw the danger and retreated back into yourself. This means you chose a different path from what was/is being shown.
